Elizabeth Olsen Talks Marvel's AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

In addition to her previous interview with Total Film, Elizabeth Olsen, who will soon be suiting up as the Scarlet Witch, briefly touches on Comic Book Movies and Marvel films.

In an extended interview with Total Film, Olsen, who in the past has admitted to not being much of a regular in the comic book world, said "I'm not much of a comic book person. I like comic book movies but my brother [Trent] is a comic book guy. If I'm having a meeting, I ask my brother to tell me about it." Of course, we've heard from various other actors say the same thing. However, as she mentioned being a CBM fan, nothing stops her from watching Marvel films. "But of course I'd seen The Avengers! I've seen all the Marvel movies. I love those movies." Marvel is known to have films ranged from the more grounded Captain America movies to the fantastical elements introduced in the Thor movies. Touching on their rhythm, "Marvel keep the fantastical qualities but create something as they can make for this world. There's something genuinely broken. Everyone has their Achilles' heel." Talking about her inclusion with Avengers: Age of Ultron, Olsen added "I don't know how I got the job, but now I have it, and we're creating it. It's been a really fun process. We're being aware of the comic books but also doing our own thing."



Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, with Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson and James Spader. The film is set to release on May 1, 2015.

Themanfrommars-same with me,i was like"i dont think they are really needed in this film" but as i have heard hwat whedon has planned for them,im getting excited,man im just excited for everything superhero right now, cap comes out in less then 2 months,im excited for spidey and xmen, guardians is my most anticipated MOVIE of the year(hopefully its great, fingers crossed) thenavengers age of ultron and ant man next year,im indifferent towards the FF reboot irght now,maybe a trailer will impress me,i would have been fine with age of ultron and ant man next year since Batman vs superman moved and im on the fence with that movie but its still batman and superman onscreen, how can u not be excited for atleast that?

I don't think it sounds weird. Emilia Clarke looks attractive to me as a blond than she does in her natural color. Emma Stone is a hottie as a redhead.

Elizabeth Olsen is beautiful. I'm sure she'll be awesome as Scarlet Witch.

And I just noticed she has green eyes like SW too.

@mgeoff I'm glad that someone remembers that the original SW had green eyes! Nowadays, they are mostly blue and they were brown at some Uncanny Avengers issues.

It's a little detail but that kind of details are important to some fans!

@TheDarkPhoenix Ha ha, I wish I could take credit for knowing that, but I originally thought Scarlet Witch in the banner had green eyes.

I was curious so I went and looked her up on the Marvel Wiki, and it said she had green eyes. Now that I'm looking at SW in that banner again, I see she has blue eyes... That was a lucky mistake lol.

I still think it's a nice touch that they hired an actress with the same eye color as the character she is playing.

@Nomis Well, the Maximoffs were pretty young when they first joined the Avengers in the comics.

Mutant powers show up in puberty and after their powers showed up they stayed with Magneto for some time and then they joined the Avengers. I don't think they were much older than 20.

She's aight . From all the castings marvel has done I've only not liked this Olsen as scarlet witch and also Don Cheadle as war-machine I think jamie foxx which is a good actor too and is friends with Robert Downey in private life would have made a much better war machine . (Don cheadle is great but doesn't fit the role )
