Expect Plenty Of Deleted Scenes When AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Hits Blu-ray

In the following video interview, Avengers: Age Of Ultron director Joss Whedon promises that we'll be seeing "very many" deleted scenes when the movie eventually reaches DVD and Blu-ray; some of which he would have liked to include in the theatrical release.

When the first Avengers movie arrived on home release it came with some brilliant deleted content, including a couple of extra scenes with Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner and Harry Dean Stanton's security guard which I really wish had remained in the theatrical release of the film. Well, it sounds like we can expect plenty more of the same when its sequel hits Blu-ray and DVD. Flicks and The City asked directer Joss Whedon about it in this video interview, and he revealed that there'll be a lot of deleted scenes for us to look forward to. Though he stresses it won't be a "director's cut", he does admit that there's a couple of moments he would have liked to have left in the original version of the movie.

Whedon also talks about what Paul Bettany brought to the role of the Vision, and then as a little extra feature of our own you can hear from the man himself in the next vid.

Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Cobie Smulders, Don Cheadle, Paul Bettany, James Spader, and Samuel L. Jackson and hits cinemas on May 1st, 2015. You can check out my review of the movie HERE

Movie felt short. Thor's little quest felt cut down and didn't make sense at all. otherwise I'm definitely interested in these deleted scenes.

@Kurt

You can defibateky feel that some things were cut out. It was fast paced. It does set up Infinity War quite a lot though. Ultrons creation is a response to Tonys Vision basically.

Kurt- it doesent feel forced IMO, to me how it flowed it felt like it made sense everything starts with struckers castle and the story kind goes the way it does as a result of what happens there.

Saw it last night. Amazing and epic! So much is going on in this movie. Saw it right after the first one (and TWS) and was amazed how different it feels, compared to the first. It's like Whedon was able to make it grander, but smaller (more personal) at the same time. Seeing it again tomorrow night and I can't wait!

@KurtWagner1225 The movie stands on its own, really, but what happened in the movie just made sense for the upcoming films, especially CIVIL WAR.

i liked how fast paced it was in comparison to the first, in the first one it kind of slowed down when they got to the hellicarrier but was still interesting because of the character interactions. but this keeps the momentum for most of the film while still having good moments between the characters. i loved that hawkeye was given some character this time around i actually cared about him.

Kurt- yeah hawkeye's presence is much bigger this time and he was great IMO hawkeye, vision and wanda stole the show but all the characters had great stand out moments.
