Guess Which Mo-Cap Guru Is Helping Mark Ruffalo with HULK In AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON?

The Hulk/Bruce Banner actor has revealed on Twitter that his Green Goliath will be much better in The Avengers sequel, partly thanks to working with a certain performance capture expert. Check it out

Despite the Hulk being truly incredible and arguably flawless in Marvel's The Avengers 2012 box office behemoth, Bruce Banner actor Mark Ruffalo expectedly suggests the Jade Giant will be much better in his second outing alongside Earth's mightiest in Avengers: Age of Ultron next year. What makes him so sure? Beyond "such great stuff" that writer/director Joss Whedon has come up with for the Hulk to do, and of course the guaranteed astounding visual effects by Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), Ruffalo has been working with a performance-capture expert this time around.

When a Twitter user asked the Oscar-nominated actor last week if he could reveal something about the Hulk in Age of Ultron, Mark Ruffalo replied, "Well, I have been working with the great @AndySerkis on the big green boy and he is going to be even better" than he was in the first Avengers movie. For those who don't know, Serkis is behind a number of iconic motion capture performances such as King Kong (2005), Gollum in the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit series, and of course Ceaser in the Planet of the Apes movies. The British actor also consulted on the upcoming Godzilla movie, and was recently announced as a cast member in Star Wars: Episode VII, which is shooting in the same UK film studio as Avengers: Age of Ultron. What exactly could Mark Ruffalo working with his 13 Going on 30 co-star mean for the Incredible Hulk? Who knows, but it's surely another indication we'll get much more of the monster when he returns exactly one year from now.

In other Avengers: Age of Ultron news, or tidbits, The Sun claims that Black Widow actress and soon-to-be-mom Scarlett Johansson's growing baby bump will be CGI-ed out of the Marvel sequel in post-production. "The 29-year-old actress will wear a special green band around her midriff while filming," which will apparently make it easier for the editing team. Also, HitFix's Drew McWeeny recently jotted down a small teaser in his review for the latest episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. "It looks like Tony Stark is proposing a new private security answer to S.H.I.E.L.D., which neatly bookends the things I already know about Avengers: Age Of Ultron," he wrote.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, with Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, and James Spader. The film is set for release on May 1, 2015.

Great news to hear that Andy Serkis will be a consultant for Mark Ruffalo. Btw, wasn't the Scarjo a baby bump thing already reported? I recall seeing an article about that.

I don't know man, they're like the Rockets right now, they control the game to a good amount and then loose the lead in the last 2-3 min. of the game.

All the while Miami practically walked into the next round.

Does anyone know roughly how much of the film has been shot so far? Approaching the halfway point soon? When does filming end?

I have to say (and I'm sure I'm not the 1st) that the Hulk in Avengers was the best looking for a movie Hulk so far. Add Serkis and the CG tech being a few years better... man, this has me drooling. Also, I would love to know where Bruce Banner gets his pants. I could use a pair to wear at Thanksgiving. That would be clutch.
