Kevin Feige Says The Hardest Part Of AVENGERS: AOU Production Was The "Actors' Schedules”

With Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron already racking up $900 million worldwide, Kevin Feige in a recent interview reveals what he thought was the hardest part of Avengers: Age of Ultron production. Hit the jump to check out!

By NightWatcher - May 11, 2015 07:05 AM EST

In the video above, Marvel President Kevin Feige explained how he wanted The Avengers to be World heroes, and not just United States heroes, "The globetrotting in this movie was something that was built into the story early on. It was important for us; we believe that The Avengers are global heroes, not just U.S. heroes. He then continued, “So we wanted to take them all around the world and there are logistical issues that come along with that, shooting everywhere from London to Bangladesh to Seoul, South Korea to Johannesburg.”

When asked about what he thought the hardest part of production was, Kevin Feige revealed the following: "The actors' schedules, though, probably trumps it because you have pretty much a small army of production personnel who are very good at what they do and can handle all sorts of moves around the globe.” He then elaborated and said how the actors’ schedules can really muster up a problem. “The hard part is when, just on one sound stage, you're having a difficult time getting four people together at the same time. That's a double-edged sword, though, because that's because every one of our actors are now big, giant stars and have very busy schedules. The benefit of that is when you do get them together, you get what you see in the movie, which is worth all the trouble."

It was indeed worth the trouble! How so? Because after all the conflicts and schedule problems, comic book fans across the world got a decent film that’ll we’ll enjoy for many years to come! With Captain America: Civil War starting production, I’m sure there will be a lot of scheduling conflicts with the many actors who will appear in that film. Will it be worth the trouble? Hell yeah! Sound off below with your thoughts!

I applaud the entire team that made this movie happen. Very well-made movie (obviously with a few flaws) that surpassed the first installment. I can't wait for the Blu-ray release to watch it a few more times. See what I missed.

Even with all the flaws, the movie is more than just "decent".

I can't believe a sizable amount of fans don't like this movie.

It's a great addition to the MCU and has so much to love.

If you think you don't like it, go see it again with an open heart. You might just change your mind.

I did enjoy this movie, however i felt they teased vision but gave him a really small amount of screen time, which kinda sucked cause he was my favourite in the film, but i will say i did enjoy it more that the 1st. Never the less i do see why people disliked it...

Marvel must have gained much experience from making this movie and that is great for Civil War and Infinity War .

This movie had its flaws but def did so much right that the cons don't matter to me. I think a lot/most of these people who "didn't like the movie" are either butthurt over Bannertasha or they were disappointed with Ultron (Who I actually loved). This movie also had so much character development and a nice arc for Tony Stark and Steve Rogers which I think some people didn't notice.

It's not a "decent" film. It's a true classic. Easily among the best CBM's.

It's not THAAAATTT good, it's not bad at all, either. It is a good movie, but not great or anything. Cap TWS is still the best in my book.

Never realized there were haters of the film..it's better than the first one & it's a top 5 CBM easy.
I avoided any info on the movie until after I saw it a few days ago.
Anyone who dislikes this movie..dislikes good movies period.

Such a good movie. I wish it was maybe 10 minutes longer just to explain Thor's side mission and to have a bit more Ultron. But I still loved the movie. Can't get over that scene at the end with all 9 Avengers fighting as a unit.

Actor schedules will probably be even worse for A:IF.

WHEDON: What's that Scarlett Johansson? You're pregnant? Don't worry. We'll have lots of scenes of you kicking ass, and then when you're farther along, we'll shoot a scene where you get kidnapped. I'm sure the internet won't freak out. It's full of understanding adults.

Wow.... that was the hardest part? I thought the hardest part was making a good movie. Or at least trying to... guess not :/

@XMenMarvelFan My GF and I were bored during the movie, and we're both CBM fans but this one alone was a major let down. And ppl want Whedon to make a Star Wars film? No thanks.

This film didn't make my top 5 CBM films of all time, but I liked it better than the first Avengers, it was a really good film. I see and understand the negatives that people mention, but for me the good stuff just outweighs it by a lot.

I loved this movie. However, in the beginning sequence, along with the Hydra troops defending the fortress, it would have been cool to have some super villains aligned with Strucker to duke it out with the Avengers (Abomination, Moonstone, Whirlwind, and Grim Reaper, etc.
