It appears as if pretty much everything we thought we knew about The Vision and Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron is wrong, as Entertainment Weekly has revealed plenty of new details about the robotic duo. Firstly, Ultron's first form WILL be one of Tony Stark's destoryed Iron Legion robots, but the A.I. has by this point "been consuming every element of human knowledge, and has reached the conclusion that the thing most threatening the planet is humanity in general—and the Avengers in particular. He’s ranting, confused. Ultron mentions being unsure where he is, and says he had to escape. But doing that meant 'killing the other guy.'" That other guy is J.A.R.V.I.S., something the team soon realises (after Ultron has made his escape) when Tony assures them that his own A.I. should have been there to keep a programme like Ultron under control. Apparently, when he trues to bring up a hologram of J.A.R.V.I.S., all the team sees is "an incoherent image of violence that looks like a digital massacre." In other words, J.A.R.V.I.S. is dead.

Where does Ultron go? Well, he downloads his consciousness into one of the robots being developed by Baron von Strucker at the hideaway which was attacked by The Avengers in the sequel's opening sequence. However, he has whatever is left of J.A.R.V.I.S. with him (which includes full knowledge of every technology Tony Stark has ever manufactured) and builds The Vision, using Iron Man's former companion as a basis, similar to how Wonder Man was used in the comic books. It sounds like he will start off as a villain then before his true self comes to the fore. This is strange, especially as toy packaging claimed that Tony and Bruce Banner create The Vision, but there are a lot of interesting details to digest here nonetheless. I said this shit yesterday. Tony builds and gives life to Ultron. Ultron kills JARVIS. Ultron gives JARVIS new life showing that he too can create life in Vision. And likely Vision/JARVIS will kill Ultron.

I wouldn't notice a spoiler anyway. I can't read.

I am loving everything about this film except for NightWidow and Ultron's creation, but I wouldn't be so irritated if Hank Pym's name is involved somehow in tying with the creation of Ultron.

My guess is that Ultron creates the initial form of The Vision, he attacks the Avengers, they get ahold of him, and Tony and Bruce reprogram him into his good guy version.

Makes sense. Ultron did build Vision so its cool their keeping that part of the comics.

I still [frick]ing hate that there is a Black Widow/Hulk relationship. Muther[frick] that. That's worse then Ant-Man not creating Ultron.

Why don't we just have Superman hook up with Black Canary, Batman hook up with Hawkgirl, and Spider-Man hook up with Firestar while we're at it.

That sounds more true to the source material.

...either way, I'm just happy we're getting the Vision in the MCU, finally.

I caved in and read it.
This would be spoilery if it was consistent with the rest of what we have learned, like Banner being involved in Ultron's creation.

It's safe to read, people!

I read but I'm not I read it. It's not spoiling the movie for me. I still don't like Josh Wilding and his antics though.

@LEVITIKUZ- Why do you hate it so much? I think it shakes things up a bit. Black Widow/Cap relationship? Yawn. BW/Hulk. It's so beauty and the beast and for once the beauty ain't Betty!

Am I the only one who wishes they would have given the Vision solid yellow eyes instead of human ones? It would have been so much more visually compelling.
