Very Detailed Description Of Hall H AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Footage

Already read the Hall H footage details and still hungering for more? Check out my extra-long, extra-detailed eye-witness write-up.

Hello, all!  I was fortunate enough to be in Hall H yesterday for the Marvel footage and thought you all deserved all the details I could squeeze out of my sleep-deprived memory.  I apologize beforehand for how ramble it is.  Still, I hope you enjoy it and my obsessive need to remember and over-analyze details.

We start with all the Avengers, Maria Hill, and Rhodey chilling in the Avengers tower in what feels like an after-battle victory party.  They are all dressed casually--even Thor has casual clothes on and has his hair pulled up in a ponytail. They're just hanging out--drinking, joking.  Thor puts his hammer down on the coffee table.  Clint makes a comment about how the whole 'no one else can pick it up is like a circus side show.'  He sounds snarky--I love it!  Stark asks, "If I can pick it up, do I get to rule Asgard?"  Thor answers in affirmative, and Tony remarks that they will need to look at the wench clause.  He sounds a little drunk, but not slammed.  He tries to pick up the hammer and fails. "I'll be right back," he says.  Cut to him with an Iron Man glove trying to lift it and failing, then cut to both he and Rhodey with their gloves straining against it, a bit of "Are you pulling?" from Tony and a "Yes, I'm pulling!" from Rhodey. Clint also tries with no luck.

Throughout this whole scene Thor is sitting on the couch in the background looking quite smug and amused. Banner gives it a shot, straining so hard that it actually looks like he's starting to hulk out, but he pulls back growling and calms himself down while everyone stares at him warily, but he might have been playing it up a bit.  Lol. Widow doesn't even bother trying, saying, "That's not a question I need answered." Then Cap goes for it.  The hammer wiggles a bit--it actually barely moves, but the sound effects are that which tells you he definitely moved it.  One of the best parts of this scene is Thor's face in the background--his smirk just drops right off briefly before returning when Cap doesn't budge it further. Then Tony starts conjecturing out loud about the hammer being biotuned to Thor's fingerprints or something. Thor picks it up and makes a show of tossing it casually in the air and catching it, and smugly saying that, "It's a simple explanation. You're just all unworthy."

There's then this deafening screeching sound, and we see Ultron walk into the room. It's clearly an early model.  Ultron is a plain steel with an avengers logo on his chest on the left side, and has clearly been through a fight.  He's all wrecked up, but interesting fact is that his eyes were definitely glowing blue (which, if you know Ultron, is significant--the rest of the flashes of him I'm had red glowy).  Ultron shuffles in with almost zombie-like motions, sparking and creepy as all get-out.  "Of course you're unworthy," Ultron says.  "You are all murderers. You want to protect the world but you don’t want it to change. There's only one path to peace: your extinction.”  Then a bunch of Ultron drones burst through the wall and we cut off to the Marvel Logo.

Ultron then voice-overs with quick flashes of other images. “I had a vision of the whole world screaming for mercy.”

Some things I remember from the flashes in no particular order:

Banner trying to not hulk out on what looked like might be the quintet or a lab or something.

A scruffy Andy Serkis as...himself.  Well, not any CGI.  (??)

Thor smashing up a tank in the forest

Hawkeye running though the forest with his bow drawn in his AWESOME new suit.  It looks great in action.

Thor grabbing and picking up Tony up by the throat.

Banner again struggling not to hulk out, this time in a forest.

Hawkeye helping people evacuate.

Scarlet Witch standing out in wreckage in front of a building, then looking up, spreading her arms at her side and just screaming.

Hulk hand reaching out to touch hands with Natasha.  Looks like she's calming him down.

Wanda walking out and red energy streaming from a hand.

Quicksilver (normal-speed) running into a building, seemingly frantically looking for something/someone/(Wanda).

Tony saying, "It's the end.  The path I started us on.  Nothing lasts forever."

Crazy Hulk vs Hulkbuster fight!  Hulk screaming, squaring off with the suit.  You get to see the massive suit forming up for the fight, rolling up around to brace the neck and shoulder area.  It looked like the Hulkbuster suit formed up around a normal iron man suit inside (?).  Hulk throws a car at the Hulkbuster suit and the suit smashes through it.  End this fight with their two fists meeting mid-punch.

Then the killer scene.  The camera drops to Captain America's shattered shield...zooming out to show Tony kneeling fallen over it, zooming out farther to see the Avengers lying before him, presumably dead.  Thor is in the foreground by the shield, Cap is next to him, the rest laid out on ground that seems to rise up before Tony.  I died during this scene.  Died dead.

This all ends with a full shot of imposingly-tall Ultron with a mouth that moves kinda like a person--it even has the slightest form of teeth (Huh.), but is still very recognizable as Ultron.  He looks GREAT!  Ultron says, "There are no strings on me." And cut to Marvel logo.  The End.

 CRAZY excellent!!

People who were there, did I forget anything?

I hope to god that Black Widow doesn't become the new Betty Ross. I hope they don't get together.

PAF: I honestly haven't had the time to be on the internet today, but I did collab with a bunch of my friends that were in Hall H. Maybe the descriptions all sound the same because we all watched the same thing and freaked out afterwards. Funny how that works.

Anyway, I'm just curious about that scene with the broken shield. It was fast (and honestly so shocking that I felt like I'd been punched in the teeth), but I think I remember seeing that the scene was very . . . empty. The general theory among my friends was that it was a dream sequence or something, but I was wondering if Scarlet Witch (or something) might have given him a glance of the future. It almost felt as if it was (and realize this is pure conjecture, and I really didn't get too good of a look of the background, seeing as I was STARING IN HORROR AT THE AVENGERS' BODIES) on . . . Thanos' asteroid.

Think of Infinity Gauntlet and how Thanos shattered Cap's shield. I really have no solid hypothesis, but the thought makes my brain want to explode with excitement.

Two things this sounds very gritty and sounds like it has a serious tone which marvel had loss since the Incredible Hulk and then brought it back with The Winter Soldier. Also Marvel can you bring back the cast from the Incredible Hulk aswell.

P.s. Batman v. Superman trailer is on vimeo.

Some of Marvel's trailers have been pretty worthwhile works of art on their own. Particularly the Guardians ones, and the Iron Man 3 ones because they contributed to the brilliant facade of the Mandarin. This trailer/teaser sounds like one of those, and it would be a shame if we never got to see it or something closely resembling it at some point. That song sounds so wonderfully eerie, and the darkness of it all seems unprecedented for a Marvel Studios movie. There's going to be some real pain in this.
