Rageof Ultron

When Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) jump-starts a dormant peacekeeping program, things go terribly awry, forcing him, Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and the rest of the Avengers to reassemble. As the fate of Earth hangs in the balance, the team is put to the ultimate test as they battle Ultron, a technological terror hell-bent on human extinction. Along the way, they encounter two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Pietro and Wanda Maximoff.

[frick]ing love these [frick]s

People need to remember that almost everything these guys do is satire, though they do sometimes bring up a lot of good (but funny) points about movies in general.

Pros:

-Vision's Birth.
-Different visions each one of the team has.
-Introduction to Klaw (along with the thought that we will surely see him again in Black Panther).
-Hulk vs. Hulkbuster fight.
-Seeing the New Avengers at the end.
-Pietro and Wanda train rescue.
-Steve and Sam still searching for Bucky.

Seriously LOVE these guys. My opinions don't usually line up with theirs, but my sense of humor definitely does haha. They're so freaking hilarious, plus they know their stuff too. Curious to see what they thought of it.

@RorMachine LOL! I just got up to that part...I happen to disagree with them, but they clearly don't have any malicious intentions and are certainly entitled to that opinion.

If we managed to make it past the part where they literally stop the video, look at the camera, and laugh at people (us) who take this shit WAY too seriously, I think we can forgive them for having less-than-flattering opinions of movie that, let's be honest, gives off the impression of taking itself far too seriously. I mean, they also get on Age of Ultron for being cartoonish and for its humor being too silly at times, so they're certainly being fair in that regard.
SauronsBANE
SauronsBANE - 5/8/2015, 8:36 PM
He's literally comparing Age of Ultron to TMNT 2 at the moment, so why shouldn't they be allowed to talk about BvS like that?

"There's nothing that sounds more nerdy than Infinity Gems."

"That's true. It's a pretty good story in the comics...it's going to make a terrible movie."

Bingo!

"Nobody likes Thor. Thor works as a comic relief character."

Yep, the MCU butchered Thor.

I mostly like their vids and find them funny, I just hate their simplistic view that just because something is based on a comic book or has superheroes in it that it has to be "fun". It doesn't... unless you're 11.
SauronsBANE
SauronsBANE - 5/8/2015, 9:13 PM
@RorMachine Haha I hear ya. But first, I think they're playing that aspect up. A lot. I don't necessarily believe they actually think as simplistic or reductive as that (they're clearly hardcore nerds themselves, but the guys act clueless when it comes to getting basic character names right. Again, it's all an act because that's their brand of humor), but funny enough, I actually don't think they're all that off-base either with their general point.

Tons of users here believe a movie being "fun" is somehow a bad thing...and it's not. It's not childish or naive to expect a movie to be fun, either. It kind of SHOULD be a requirement in a movie. Hell, even Nolan's Bat-trilogy was ridiculously fun to watch, and most people point to that as the most 'adult' comic book movies ever.

"Fun" and "dark, gritty, serious" shouldn't be mutually exclusive. Nolan proved there's a way to combine those aspects into something that's certainly far different than anything Marvel has put out. But based off of Man of Steel, I don't think WB/DC has managed to achieve that yet. That's all that these 2 guys were pointing out, I think. Just my 2 cents!
CombatWombat
CombatWombat - 5/8/2015, 9:29 PM
The thing is that "fun" is kind of an objective thing @RorMachine. There are many different ways to have "fun" watching a movie, and no one way is better than another...
