Who could edge AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON out of top spot in Digital Audience Ratings? ARROW fans force THE FLASH out of TV top ten.

This week's Digital Audience Ratings crowned a new leader, forcing the AVENGERS sequel and other prior leaders down one spot; FANT4STIC trailer expected to crack top 5 next week; hit the jump for more.

Based on audience engagements with digital content based on 'The Imitation Game' and its numerous award nominations, this Benedict Cumberbatch vehicle has pushed AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON down one peg to second place. Last week's No. 2 and No. 3 also followed suit with 'Fifty Shades of Grey' and 'American Sniper' also dropping one position each.

We can credit Marvel's strategic marketing with this clever drop. Not wanting audience fatigue before their next smash sequel releases in May, Marvel Studios PR department carefully meters the content out to audiences. Last week saw very little that was truly new. Most of the interviews and other advertising for AGE OF ULTRON released in the last rating period merely confirmed audience notions of the quality and scope of the sequel and reinforced their existing knowledge and excitement.

FANT4STIC's trailer for the upcoming FANTASTIC FOUR reboot released toward the end of the rating period, but fans were certainly rabid for it. FANT4STIC was trending for the rating period and is expected to crack the top five next week.

ARROW fans take heart! You've edged THE FLASH out of the top ten broadcast TV programs, taking tenth place. THE FLASH was nowhere to be seen in the DAR measurements.

Finally in Cable and Streaming, THE WALKING DEAD shuffled it's way back to up the list to number three.

Digital Audience Ratings are reported weekly on Variety.com by Jason Klein of ListenFirst Media based on consumer engagements with content on Facebook, Google+, Instagram, Tumblr, Wikipedia and YouTube.

I'm out here scouring the Internet for all the semi-interesting morsels that no one else would write about, but many would be interested to read....

As much as I desprise Benedict Cucumberpatch, I very much enjoyed the Imitation Game and I'm glad to see that such a good movie is getting the credit it deserves.

@ABetterTomorrow

I think that title works. And anyway, at least there isn't a 'K' at the end like this

@0megaDaGod,
Call it Fan-Four-stick??? I certainly hope not. But it seemed humorous to do so in this article...
