AVENGERS 4 Fan-Art Imagines A "Last Dance" In The Afterlife For Steve Rogers And Peggy Carter

Okay, if something like this actually happens at the end of the film, there won't be a dry eye in the house. This rather lovely piece of artwork imagines the perfect afterlife scenario for Steve & Peggy.

We obviously don't know whether Captain America is going to be killed off at the end of Avengers 4 or not, but that does seem to be the prevailing theory. If The Sentinel of Liberty is destined to meet his maker, however, we can't think of a better way to bid farewell to the character than the scenario depicted in Boss Logic's latest.

"Last Dance" sees Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter meeting up again in the afterlife so that they can finally cut that rug they never got a chance to in The First Avenger. The image recalls a similar scene from Avengers: Age of Ultron, only, y'know, not quite so nightmarish.

To be honest, we could see Marvel doing something along these lines if Avengers 4 really is to be Chris Evans' last time wielding the shield. What do you guys think?

He’s not going to die! I could be in denial if I want to be.

That'll be an awkward conversation.

"Hey, did you make out with my niece?"

"........no?"

It's going to be a long afterlife.

I love this idea so much. Come on Russo's, it's ok to borrow a fan's idea if it's this perfect. Do it for Steve!

I can feel my tear ducts watering, no joke. This would also fix his lacklustre relationship (if you can even call it that) with Sharon, it would show Peggy was always the one that's why he never went all the way with Sharon.

I like the idea, but I dont what to see it on screen. If he dies, cap better says something like ''I'm coming for that dance peggy''. And dont forget the awkward sharon standing behind it

@MalseMarcel - Those better not be his last words. That sounds corny as hell

It's gonna be an orgasm of sad tears when Cap goes. Evans took the character and made him a fan-favorite over Iron Man for many people. No doubt they are going to make the audience weep as hard as ever this next go around.

@MosquitoFarmer - Orgasm implies it will be good though. Unlike a plate of peanut butter jelly sandwiches. Which is an orgasm.

@TheInsaneCipher - I suppose I never made it clear that I actually hate peanut butter & jelly sandwiches personally aside from there aesthetic value. I'd rather have a good euphoric cry in the MCU any day. (Or that grilled cheese I talked about.)

Hey does anyone know if there's a explanation as to why Thanos gave up the Mind Stone in the first place? I mean it was in the scepter he gave to Loki right? Did he not know it was in there maybe?
TheUnworthyThor
TheUnworthyThor - 8/30/2018, 2:32 PM
@johndawg - I assume because one stone meant nothing to him, he needed all six or nothing. And he sent an unassociated proxy because he didn’t want anyone to know he was coming for them until the moment was right so people wouldn’t build up special defenses or unite to go after him.

@TheUnworthyThor - That sounds like a good explanation. I'll take it. It just always bugged me.

@johndawg - i have read by the Russos and in the comics adaptations that the stones have the ability to seek each other out... so Loki brings one to find the others. They react to being in the presence of each other.
MrDandy

@johndawg - Thanos sent Loki the stone to help him conquer earth, which Loki assured him would be "glorious not lengthy" and it allowed them to communicate with their minds across space so Thanos could send him his army through the wormhole when the time was right. Loki and the Other seemed to think Earth wasn't much of a conquest or risk. I'd assume after Thanos fullfilled his end of the bargain and conquered earth for him, Loki would have given him both the time and mind stone.

@johndawg -

This scene demonstrates this pretty clearly, I think.

@johndawg - he figured the “meager might of earth” would be pushovers and that he would not only purge another planet but get two infinity stones in return. Loki wouldn’t dare keep 2 for himself and if he tried he’d just get killed like in IW. There was in his mind no downside until he realized Loki couldn’t stop the Avengers

@BlackBeltJones - “Like seriously we spend decades together married and in love (or so I thought) and you leave me in the afterlife for this guy you kissed once during the war? What am I supposed to do now? You were my great love!”
Chaos200
Chaos200 - 8/30/2018, 2:45 PM
@TheUnworthyThor - It's a horrible thought but shit like that happens in real life too, not the afterlife apart of course but I feel people end up with people who weren't their soul mates so to speak.
