JURASSIC WORLD DOMINION: Chris Pratt Likens The Movie To AVENGERS: ENDGAME (And He Would Know)

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 star Chris Pratt continues to hype Jurassic World Dominion as the end of an era, comparing the upcoming blockbuster to another movie he starred in, Avengers: Endgame...

There's less than a month to go until Jurassic World Dominion roars into theaters, and star Chris Pratt continues to hype the movie as a grand finale for this era of the franchise. Whether that means we'll say goodbye to some familiar faces remains to be seen, though it does feel a tad inevitable.

After all, the threequel will finally unite the actors from the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World franchises for an adventure that looks like it will see the world itself potentially at risk thanks to the emergence of dinosaurs. Depending on how this story wraps up, the next movie could look vastly different, and conclusion or not, we're sure Universal won't be leaving the series on the shelf for too long.

Talking to ComicBook.com, Pratt was asked if he will ever return to the franchise as a "legacy" cast member. "You'd want to leave it open to that possibility," the actor responded. "I think maybe Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame are a similar comparison because you've got 10 years, 20-something films, [and] all of these characters each had their own stories, their own trilogies, coming together. And you're like, 'This is wild.' You've seen these worlds collide. It feels the same way."

"You've got the Jurassic Park trilogy. You've got the Jurassic World trilogy, and it's this big epic conclusion. They've continued to make these Marvel films, but that does feel like a phase that is over," Pratt continued. "It's rolled over into a new phase. Marvel continues to do great things. I feel like it seems, it makes sense that Jurassic would continue to tell great stories."

"But I think Iron Man's gone," he concluded with a laugh. "And I guess I would be Hulk."

It's definitely exciting to see where this movie will take us and we're honestly a little surprised that Universal hasn't promoted Jurassic World Dominion as the end of an era. Of course, the studio has no superhero properties and is in desperate need of big franchises, so the series won't be gone for long.

Jurassic World Dominion is set to arrive in theaters on June 10.

Why would he be Hulk? Pratt wasn't in the original trilogy. Hulk has been in the Marvel movies since the beginning.

These movies are so played out. They make dinosaurs out to be super intelligent. It would be very easy to locate and kill the large ones with the technology we have today. But somehow they have run rampant across the world.

@JobinJ - It's a sci-fi movie about dinosaurs being successfully cloned and walking among humans in the 20th and 21st centuries. Chill.

@RitoRevolto - But the first part of sci-fi is “science”. Unlike Science Fantasty these movies should at least be more plausible.

RitoRevolto - 5/17/2022, 10:23 AM
@SpaceParanoids - ...huh? Star Trek is also science *fiction* and yet warp speed is no more possible or plausible in real life than a bunch of dinos running around today lol.

@RitoRevolto - But it’s based on scientific theory as are the dinosaurs being cloned.

Is it bad that I'm more excited for Dominion than End Game cuz of how poorly Hulk was handled in IW

@McMurdo - They really wasted Hulk and Thor in Endgame.

I'm probably the biggest JP fan on this site, I'll be there opening day! Please don't suck.. also I pre ordered tickets weeks ago, yet only 4 other people are going on opening night. Maybe Fallen Kingdom did way more damage than I thought, but I figured bringing back the original three would have boosted those doubts. Hmm

In other words, a pile of crap filled with plot holes and cheesy CGI fested "fight" scenes?

Ok then, he's not wrong in that case you know!

SpaceParanoids
SpaceParanoids - 5/17/2022, 10:04 AM
So that means it’s going to be an entertaining film with a messy story, a ton of plot holes, a ton of fan service callbacks, and an over bloated finale fighting a villain who no longer matters?

Gotcha

Well, sorry but no way. If they knew what they were doing from the very first Jurassic Park, even if it was a distant dream, we could compare them.

These films are more like a big, big collage.

I hope it’s not like End Game. I hate End Game. Goofy ass Banner/Hulk, plot holes galore, boring movie.

I guess that makes sense. It does wrap up all these stories that played out over the years, but afterwards might still continue. Star Wars is doing the same, and that has been around for years as well (although I hope Dominion doesn't turn out to be another TROS).
