I don't know if this has been posted before, but I have just finished watching The Dark Knight Rises again and noticed this little detail. If you look at the boy wearing glasses he has a Harley Quinn costume on his mitten.

Sure, there have been plenty of thoughts about Joker making an appearance, or at least being mentioned or teased, in the end Chris Nolan decided to honor Heath Ledger's performance by not letting any Joker references into the movie. We can only hope that we will see Harley in future installments.

It's not much of a debut for Harley on the big screen, but it's always nice to see small treats like this

@KnightofSteel
I totally agree, when Joseph Gordon-Levitt was cast in this movie, I seriously thought they had secretly cast him as the Joker. But no, that would be too ballsy.

Nolan's words not mine, I would have loved to see anything Joker related

I thought that was a little girl.
I've not bothered to check, yet, but I'm wondering if these orphans have characteristics of the various raobins and sidekicks, in the same way that the students at Xavier's in the X-Men movies had characteristics of various mutants.

As for the replacing the Joker? Ledger's dead. I don't think he cares, either way. But if they replaced him for the end of the trilogy with another actor then that would've been slightly insensitive to the family. Replacing just has bad conotations. Hwever, if they mentioned him, or had Mark Hammil do a laugh, somewhere in the film, I really don't think that would count. Anyway, the trilogy is over now, so we could easily get Joker in the JL movie or any future Batman movies that they might do.

Those caught my eye earlier on in a breakdown for the trailer when it first came out. I think I read somewhere that those gloves have the icon of the Gotham Knights or Rogues or whatever the football teams name is on it.

I think it's a football player. If you look on his other hand it looks like there's a football there. I can see how it looks like Harley, though.

Implant a football player stitch that slightly resembles Harley, then sit back and watch the fans rouse themselves into a tizzy. Well played costume design team, well played.

That's Nolan's kid? If so, he looks an awful lot like Carrie Kelly. Seriously. I haven't heard anyone else mention that. Doesn't that kid look just like Carrie?

@KnightofSteel agreed. That is what pissed me off the most. The Joker made a huge impact on Gotham, and yet no mention. Not one.

I agree with KaineParker: you are seeing things that do not exist. There is no way to definitively discern that as Harley. Add in, that in now way is any sort of tribute to Ledger.
It is funny that there was absolutely no mention of the Joker, and the Scarecrow makes another appearance.

In all, it was not a great movie and worth only seeing once. The first two movies can be enjoyed repeatedly.
