"This past week, Uslan spoke at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. After his lecture about 'following your dreams', Uslan fielded some questions from students. He explained that he’d have to stay away from The Dark Knight Rises questions, joking that those in charge had 'microphones everywhere'.

When asked about the franchise after The Dark Knight Rises, Uslan stated that no one was looking ahead of the current film, and that all those involved are simply focused and thrilled to be shooting Christopher Nolan’s final Batman film.

While talking to a few students beforehand, Uslan was asked a question about the possibility of working on The Dark Knight Rises in Pittsburgh. Uslan replied that when they get started there, the student should send in resumes to film offices 'sooner rather than later'. Additionally, Uslan spoke about how certain older Bat-films had started to become more about selling merchandise and toys than it was about story. He also said that he considered both Burton and Nolan to be 'geniuses'."

I find it interesting that he says there's no other Batman film being planned other than TDKR, which should be a relief to those who are tired of seeing Batman on screen.

Anyways, The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20, 2012 and stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Juno Temple!

to tell the truth, batman has been overexposed. i want to see other dc heroes too starting with the superman reboot and green lantern. leave batman alone after tdkr. or reboot him in a shared universe.

They may not have official plans, buy I guarantee you there will ALWAYS be a live-action Batman something in the works. And Michael Uslan ought to know, since he's been involved in producing them since at least mid-80's. Seriously, at no point in the last 25 years was there NOT a live-action Batman movie in some stage of development.

@Denn1s I agree, as much as I love Nolan's series, Warner Bros should spend more time making films on Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, and many other DC properties. And yeah...rebooting him in a shared universe would be awesome.

I agree... After TDKR, leave Batman alone! Nolan has made a kickass Batman already!

After The Dark Knight Rises and Batman: The Brave and the Bold, DC is working on Batman:Year One animated movie and a new Batman animated tv show with "a more serious tone" but no more Hollywood movies.

It is a good idea to give Batman a little rest. He's mastered the CBM genre and set a stardard envious of all filmmakers. He deserves his rest as a legend in everything he touches.
