Known for his work on the 'Living Dead' series, Friday The 13th & The Maniac, veteran award winning effects and make-up artist Tom Savini may be working with Nolan on the upcoming Batman flick; 'The Dark Knight Rises'. A Yahoo! Contributor by the name of L. Vincent Poupard has posted an article stating at a recent convention that Mr. Savini might be taking part in 'The Dark Knight Rises'.

I covered the Motor City Nightmares horror convention and film festival this weekend outside of Detroit. Tom Savini was scheduled to be one of the guests of honor. On Friday, Tom contacted the organizers of the convention to say that he had to cancel as he was going to be interviewing for "The Dark Knight Rises," and that he had a good chance of "Getting it." This had some of the insiders at the convention raising questions as to Savini's potential capacity in the movie.

Could the potential thought of working on one of the biggest comic book adaptions in recent years be enough to bring the actor/director/make-up artist out of retirement? We'll find out soon enough.

The legendary Savini! Best wishes for him. He'll do some cameo or work in FXs or something?
