THE MARVELS Final Trailer Teases Reality-Bender That Will Change Everything (& Features An AVENGERS Cameo!)

During Monday Night Football, Marvel Studios released the official final trailer for The Marvels, which reveals an incredibly dire intergalactic threat and promises a reality-bending adventure that will change everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it.

While what that could entail is anyone's guess, some of the recent buzz has heavily suggested that the film will contain a few big cameos that could hint at some very big things to come in the not-so-distant future, possibly even as early as next year's Deadpool 3. However, how the film ties into the hotly-awaited Avengers: Secret Wars remains to be seen, but we wouldn't be surprised to see, at least, a few subtle hints at what's to come in 2027.

The film's secrets will remain under lock and key until this weekend, but the trailer does confirm one small nugget that's been bouncing around the rumor mill for ages and it's that Thor: Love and Thunder and Avengers: Endgame star Tessa Thompson will indeed appear in the film, reprising her role as Valkyrie. The new trailer reveals a scene of her offering some counsel to Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) in her time of need, although she's not suited up in battle gear, so it seems unlikely that she'll be an active participant in the film's major action sequences, but it does seem like she's forged quite the friendship with Captain Marvel.

The ensemble cast features Academy Award-winner Brie Larson (Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel), Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau/Photon), Iman Vellani (Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel), Zawe Ashton (Dar-Benn), Gary Lewis (Emperor Dro'ge), Seo-Jun Park (Prince Yan), Zenobia Shroff (Muneeba Khan), Mohan Kapur (Yusuf Khan), Saagar Shaikh (Aamir Khan), and Academy Award-nominee Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury).

Nia DaCosta directed the feature from a screenplay she co-wrote with Megan McDonnell and Elissa Karasik. Kevin Feige is, of course, attached as the producer, while Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Mary Livanos, and Matthew Jenkins served as executive producers.

Watch the final trailer below:

In Marvel Studios’ “The Marvels,” Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as “The Marvels.”

@Kurban - Pretty sure the initiation process is "if you walk out that door/portal, you're an Avenger"

@URCOMMENTSUCKS - Do you think The Marvels will beat Martin Scorsese 200 million budget Killers of the Flower Moon at the Box Office?

DOMESTIC = $52,205,306
INTERNATIONAL = $66,800,000

WORLDWIDE = $119,005,306

Anyone who’s pitting this against Killers of the Flower Moon has already lost.

@AllsGood - Perhaps. But it won't beat Morbious, that's for sure.

Starting with clips of RDJ and Cap. Random Thanos dialogue. They are basically begging all MCU fans to come out with this trailer.

@regularmovieguy - So you're saying that Marvel is trying to use advertising to convince people to go see their movie? Man, is there any level they won't stoop to?

@ClintThaHamster

Evans and RDJ had more screen time there than Iman Villani.

@ClintThaHamster - Potentially using things in advertising that may not have anything to actually do with the story? Not surprising, no, but potentially dishonest? Maybe. Unless you think showing Iron Man and Captain America at the start was VITALLY necessary for the story and characters who pretty much all have not much developed relationship with those characters? OR that the villain is connected to Thanos' mission to wipe out half of all life? I don't know if I believe these things connect to the movie.
