The Disney+ Ms. Marvel series would often switch to animation when Kamala Khan was daydreaming about joining her hero, Captain Marvel, on an Avengers mission, and the concept is revisited for a fun sequence early on in The Marvels.

After first catching up with Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau as they investigate an anomaly in space, we cut to Kamala in her bedroom sketching out an idea for her latest adventure with the mighty Captain Marvel.

After teaming up to take out some mechanical menaces, Khan nervously reveals her superhero codename to Danvers, but their bonding moment is cut short by Kamala's mother reminding her daughter that she needs to finish her homework.

Sloth Baby Productions handled the animation, and the full scene has now been released online in the form of a new clip from the movie.

"The Marvels is far from the best Marvel Studios has to offer, but it's difficult not to get swept up in its infectious energy... to a point," we said in our review. "A disjointed third act lets it down, but a game cast and plenty of fun/funny moments elevate it above more lacklustre MCU fare (we're looking at you, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumnia)."

"In Marvel Studios’ The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as The Marvels.”

The film also stars Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-joon. Nia DaCosta directs, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Mary Livanos and Matthew Jenkins serve as executive producers. The screenplay is by Megan McDonnell, Nia DaCosta, Elissa Karasik and Zeb Wells.

The Marvels will begin its international rollout on November 8, and was recently granted a China release on November 10, day-and-date with North America.

I see lots of parallels with Blue Beetle, this will tank hard and maybe do 41 million opening. It's way too little too late. Why watch a movie about a secondary character and two tertiary characters. Dogshit. I do like Kamala, but only on Disney+, no interested in buying a movie ticket to see her.

@MarkCassidy Isn’t Sloth Baby Productions fictional? I thought the whole point was that was the name of Kamala’s in universe YouTube channel? Could be wrong though

This movie is not better than Ant-man. I just saw it. Its rushed, has tons of CGI problems and speeds through whatever they think the plot is so they can get to the end. Its a shame, there were some good themes they introduce even though they have been done before like Carol mentoring Kamala, meeting your heroes, and the family element with Monica which goes nowhere.

The villain is the usual Marvel problem. Shes just there so things can happen.

You can tell the actress wrote that as well . How anyone over 18 or any long time Kamala reader would actually like this remains a mystery to me. The someone needs Kmala's help got old awfully quick when she wont stop w/ the stupid baby talk . I feel like she is always talking to a baby .
