THE MARVELS Promo Appears To Confirm We're Getting Yet Another Huge MCU Cameo - SPOILERS

Marvel Studios has just released a new promo for The Marvels, and it seemingly confirms a third MCU cameo in the highly anticipated Captain Marvel sequel. Find out who's set to make an appearance here...

With The Marvels just a couple of days away from landing in theaters, the movie's marketing campaign has become increasingly spoiler-filled.

Yesterday evening, a final trailer revealed Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie will make an appearance and, upon closer inspection, there's even a frame which appears to confirm plans for an eXciting MCU debut (you can read more about that here).

Now, a brief promo has been released and, you guessed it, it reveals yet another cameo in advance.

When the word "NEXT" flashes up on screen, we see a quiver with purple arrows in it and the long hair of a character who can only be Kate Bishop. There have been rumours Hailee Steinfeld will make an appearance for a while now and this all but confirms that's the case.

Based on what we've previously heard, [MAJOR SPOILER WARNING!] the movie ends with Ms. Marvel setting off to assemble a new team of "Young" Avengers, starting with the MCU's Hawkeye. We'd expected this to be a post-credits scene, but it appears plans have changed as there will reportedly now just be the one with a huge Multiverse Saga tease.

With reports swirling that The Marvels will struggle at the box office this weekend, revealing these cameos in advance will be dismissed as a desperate ploy by some. However, it thus far appears to be greatly increasing interest in the Captain Marvel sequel, so we'll see what happens. Plus, the two big ones have only been teased, not outright revealed, and that's a smart way to get people into theaters.

In The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe.

When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as "The Marvels."

The movie stars Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-joon.

The Marvels is set to arrive in theaters on November 10.

So both end credit scenes have been spoiled by the pre-release marketing now? I feel bad for people trying to see this while avoiding spoilers.

@mountainman - I don't, they should get mad at Marvel for doing tactics like this. Too bad it won't matter lol

@mountainman - you don't notice what you're looking at in these trailers unless you're a nerd like us stupidly clicking every spoiler article Josh posts

I mean they hid Kate bishop quivers BEHIND the word next. You'd have to be looking frame by frame to spot that
Same with Maria rambeau. You'd have to really be into this kind of stuff and looking for it, to see that

The general audience ain't doing all that

Now I do feel bad for those who visit reddit and see a subject line with spoiled cameos in it. Oof!

@Vigor - You're right in that nobody would notice these moments by watching the trailers. But I’m guessing they will now be all over social media, Reddit and YouTube. It’s best to save this stuff until at least after the first weekend for folks that want to experience it first in the theater.

You would've made more money if every trailer had this feel, aside from the spoilers and nostalgia of course lol

@bobevanz - Agreed that, besides the clips from other movies, this was the best trailer yet.

I’m guessing the others will more closely match the overall tone and feel of the movie though. This one had a lot of clips from the 3rd act climax in it.

2/3 lighthearted and disorienting place swap wackiness and 1/3 big world ending threat with incursion setup for multiverse storyline.

@bobevanz -
Misleading trailers like this may convince a few people to see the film, but they'll feel lied to and are then less likely to trust you in future. Similar to how people were frustrated with the trailers for Age Of Ultron selling a different movie to what we got.

The only reason I would go to theaters to see this would be if someone gave me a free ticket.

I'm going to watch the new Ghibli, a much better way to spend my money and time.

@DocSpock - you should check Ghibli Studio's filmography.

Princess Mononoke, Chihiro, My neighbour Totoro,

Really great movies.

@Usernametaken -

If they are really good movies, I am all in.

If they are stupid looking Japanese anime with the big heads & giant eyes, forget it.

If they are subtitled, double forget it.

@DocSpock - you can found it dubbed. Great US actors have dubbed it, like Christian Bale for example.

I think they're on Max in the US, and on Netflix in most other countries.

Ghibli is quality cinema, It's more closer to Disney old school 2d classics, but more dramatic and sometime violent.

Hayao Miyazaki is to japanese animation what Akira Kurosawa was to japanese filmmaking.

It's nothing like Dragon Ball and other Saturday morning japanese cartoons.

Sigh. The release of these leaks succeeding in generating interest doesn't change the fact it was a desperate ploy to garner interest, you lint licker.

Cameos aren't advertising. They're the reward for seeing the film. There's no reason to release the information about cameos and post credit scenes in advertising outside of desperation. None.
