Man o Man sitting here reading a few editorials and it seems that all of my fellow geeks,nerds,and chumps have really been appeased by these scraps that studios are providing. Do you not see that they are dangling a carrot to hush us up and forget about the real travesty going on here. Im going to give you guys a treat a 3 part thought of mine that has been brewing for quite sometime. I shall explain how the wool is being pulled over your eyes and with the target demopgraphic changing tides ever 5 years. Basically kiddos your vote wont count for what "the world" wants to see. Lets get to some issues..... (cue Drake music )
Issue number one I have with the CBM "man". Why does it take 5 years for you guys to go from announcing a movie to actually putting it out. I mean think about it ? The powers that be are about money, if they put out quality products we will eat it up. Look at it this way Bryan Singer made 8 movies part of the Xmen Franchise ( yes Superman returns was an obvious sabotage event) in 14 years that averages 1 movie per 2 years which is good. But now they are announcing movies as far out as 2022. Look Im gettin older and I dont wanna be waiting 8 years for a story to be completed only to have it rebooted 2 years after that ( Spider man) This 2017 for the JL is pure garbage man. Like for real they gonna slowly start giving us clothes shots like the 60's with Marilyn Monroe. Tell me about a movie witha year or less wait time and quit being a cock (eyed) tease.
Issue number 2. Man whats up with these guys remaking,stopping and remaking the same series over and over and over and over. Im tired of this formula of rinse,was repeat. That first Avengers cartoon was pure dope man. then they go to this crap. Man the 90's were truly the era for cartoon superheroes cause these suck. Everything has to be so for kids. I wish Marvel or DC would take a page from Anime. You can tell a continuous story thats animated that adults can watch. I would be biased to say that Dc and their animated movies arent good. My only dislike with that is that first off after watching 1 I want to watch more and second there is no continuity, so there is really nothing to follow or get excited about again just stand alone films. The secret to the animated universe is simple. STOP trying to please everyone and just make quality material.... Heres looking to you Young Justice.......
And finally, I would just like to call a spade a spade. This genre that we love so much will soon suffer from over saturation typical to the martial arts and blaxploitation moveis that we love. Our demand for more versus the studios money grab and quick fix offerings such as the television and internet mediums will ultimately eliminate the need to fill the seats. It worked so beautifully when it was just cartoons of the heroes because we all knew there was no way that the story we saw animated would be what we see in theaters. But these studios sudden interest in tying everything together is flawed. I like the Arrow show it's cool and campy and you know what so was Knight Rider and it had great made for TV movies. But who wants to see him clash in the same fight with Superman. I think they may have been over ambitious with this and Flash. because they saw how Marvel worked with Cap n SHIELD. But ask yourself will it always happen like that to where the story is worth it. With Netflix soon taking on heroes I will be curious to how they make that tie into the universe. My suggestion is that they just allude to it in the show and vice versa in the movies. They do not have to tie everything together because what will inevitably happen is that when one branch falls (meaning a series or a movie is not successful) so shall the tree..................................................................
