Comic Vine has received a first look at the cover for Batman #9, written by Scott Snyder and drawn by Greg Capullo. An obvious homage to issue 4's cover, but with the tables turned. It's time for Batman to take back his city.

In addition, Snyder tells CV the following...

First of all, huge thanks to Comic Vine - great site, great people. As for the cover, this is the big one, the issue in BATMAN that parallels the Night of the Owls crossover event. I can't say too much about it, but I can say that for a long time you've seen Bruce on the defensive, with the Court making its (deadly) case. Well, just like the cover to #4 was all about the Owls claiming Gotham, this cover is almost the reverse image - this is Bruce's time to win the city back, with everything at his disposal. Really, this issue is the biggest of the bunch - the battle for the soul of Gotham. Be there! And thanks again to Comic Vine and to all of you from team Batman.

I cannot wait to see what comes next in this amazing run! Well mates, what's your opinion?

This is a great storyline. If you haven't been reading it pick up the back issues. It's well worth the time. Probably the best storyline in the new 52

As if Batman didn't already have the best rogue's galley in comics--now he has The Court of Owls.

Whatchu wanna bet Nolan is reading it and going "Damn that would make a kickass movie!"

This Court of Owls storyline has been amazing. My favorite Batman story in YEARS, which follows the previous best Batman story "The Black Mirror", also by Scott Snyder! This guy is the best thing to happen to Batman in a long time. (Helps me to forget the terrible Batman Inc idea.

It looks like with this cover (I love it when covers mirror each other by the way) Batman has to armor-up after the physical (some pretty devastating injuries) and psychological hell he has been put through. I'm excited!
