DC and comics fans in general have been pretty responsive towards both Arrow and the recently leaked pilot for The Flash. Man of Steel seems to have divided DC fans, but so far, it seems most would agree that the CW DC universe is doing almost everything right.
With the recent news regarding both Ray Palmer/The Atom and Ronnie Raymond/Firestorm showing up in Arrow and The Flash respectively, fans everywhere are left wondering where exactly the DCCW universe is going...
So with that said, here are the most pressing questions that I hope can be answered in season 3 of Arrow and season 1 of The Flash.
1. Are those Green Lantern teases ever going to amount to anything?
Ferris Air has already been established on both Arrow and The Flash. This is an obvious nod to Green Lantern/Hal Jordan. In my opinion, the most obvious character that NEEDS to be introduced into this show is Hal Jordan. Hal Jordan's two best friends are Ollie Queen and Barry Allen, Hal Jordan couldn't be more appropriate for this universe. Hopefully all these Ferris Air nods aren't just teasing us, and are actually building towards a real appearance from the character.
2. Is Nightwing going to show up?
There's been a lot of rumors and speculation regarding Nightwing on Arrow, but no one is really sure if it's even possible for Nightwing to show up. A popular rumor is that Steven R McQueen (The Vampire Diaries) may be playing Dick Grayson/Nightwing on Arrow, but it's unconfirmed. Stephen Amell has also stated that he'd really like for Nightwing to show up. Back in the day, Smallville could never introduce Bruce Wayne because of some stupid rights issue, but no one is really sure what the deal is regarding the rights to Dick Grayson. A few years back, CW was developing a show about a pre-Robin Dick Grayson. That show probably has nothing to do with Nightwing showing up on Arrow, but it at least proves that WB isn't afraid of letting Richard Grayson show up on the CW. Around the same time, CW was also developing a different DC related show based on another popular Teen Titans member. That character was Raven, which brings me to my next question that needs to be answered...
3. Are we going to see the CW's version of the Teen Titans?
Roy Harper, Deathstroke, Brother Blood and H.I.V.E are all major players in the Teen Titans books, and they have all been introduced on Arrow already. There was even an episode where Slade Wilson referenced his son Joey, who is known in the comics as the Teen Titans member, Jericho. I would imagine that The Flash series would introduce Wally West/Kid Flash at some point if the show is successful, and that would be yet another major Teen Titans character introduced into this universe. So many seeds for the Teen Titans have already been planted, and with the rumors of Nightwing showing up, it's hard to deny that there could possibly be a Teen Titans in the DCCW's future.
I recall there being a rumor that CW was developing a Young Justice tv series, and I personally think that's an awesome idea. I don't think they should rush into it, I'd rather they introduce more Teen Titans elements organically on The Flash and Arrow, but that's a show that has loads of potential. And since we're on the topic of super teams on Arrow/The Flash....
4. Are we going to see the CW's version of the Justice League?
Right now it looks like we've got five notable Justice League members either introduced or about to be introduced into the DCCWU. Those characters would be Arrow, Canary, The Flash, The Atom, and Firestorm. I feel like the creators of Arrow/The Flash definitely have an end game in mind, and I definitely think they are building towards their own take on the Justice League. When Robbie Amell was announced as Firestorm, Stephen Amell welcomed him into the universe by saying "Welcome to the Justice League of America." That could mean nothing but I think it's safe to say some form of the Justice League will pop up on Arrow or The Flash. I really hope that Hawkman and Martian Manhunter get introduced into the DCCWU because I don't think either of them will get their due in the movies any time soon. If they're going to introduce the Justice League though, that leads me to my last question...
5. How are they going to handle the other big guns?
I would love to see Wonder Woman introduced at some point. Especially if the Justice League is going to be introduced, but if any of the trinity show up in the DCCWU, I don't want them to have too big of roles, I don't want them overshadowing Arrow or Flash. I hope Clark can make an appearance. After all, Clark was on the CW/WB already for 10 years. WB may feel hesistant about putting out two versions of live action Superman at the same time. I hope they wouldn't be like that, a show about an integrated and shared DC universe without Superman would feel incomplete. Same goes for Batman...and Wonder Woman. WB may feel weird about having the movie versions exist at the same time as the tv versions, but audiences are able to tell the difference and it shouldn't be a problem. I'm sure there will be a different version of The Flash in the movies, so why not introduce different versions of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman? And it's not like the characters would be in bad hands... so i say why not?
The likelihood of Batman showing up on Arrow is a mystery. The Bat-embargo previously prevented the character from showing up on Smallville, but things have changed since then. I remember reading that the new WB CEO Kevin Tsujihara changed the policy on the Bat-embargo. That could explain why the Gotham series is allowed to exist at the same time as Batman v Superman. Ra's Al Ghul is arguably Batman's number 2 villain, and he's most likely going to be a major threat to Arrow in season 3. There was also a Harley Quinn easter egg... and ...

So Bruce Wayne EXISTS in the DCCWU. What the hell does this mean for this universe? Who knows? But I hope this, and my other questions are answered soon!
