Magical DC Comics characters I expect to see in the Constantine TV series

According to the producers, Constantine will bring many magic-related DC characters onto the small screen. Read on to discover who I hope to see and how I want them to be introduced in the series.

We know for sure that, in addition to the sorcerer from Liverpool, we are going to see Zed and maybe even the Spectre in this new, upcoming series. However, there are tons of characters connected to the mystical and spiritual part of the DC Universe, so we're definitely going to get more on that front. Here is my wish list.

SWAMP THING
Duh. I mean, they have to use this one. His origins are not particularly difficult, either: botanist who is working on a new, innovative formula, is fatally wounded during a lab accident, before dying he fells into a swamp, and he transforms into... well, into whatever it is. In the series, Constantine's and his team's attention would be drawn by the sightings of a mysterious "Swamp Thing" and they start to investigate. Then they could ally with the creature to battle, I don't know, Floronic Man.

DOCTOR FATE
Super Duh. We saw the Helmet of Fate in the trailer, which means that, somewhere, there must be someone who is destined to put on the Helmet and become the personification of Order and Balance. I would go with the New 52 version, in terms of human host (Khalid Ben-Assin) and looks (of the costume). As a powerful spellcaster, Fate would definitely be a nice add to Constantine's team and a cornerstone for the world of Ancient Egyptian Magic, which in the Dc Comics is very rich (Shazam, Black Adam, Felix Faust, Ibis...).

ZATANNA
Another big duh, to me. Besides the fact that Zatanna and Constantine are very close in the New 52 universe, I really want to see her in the series. She could be introduced as an old friend of Constantine's, a young, pretty, joyful stage magician who actually possesses vast magical powers. Again, one nice add.

THE PHANTOM STRANGER
Mysterious wanderer, enigmatic observer, and nobody knows what his real origins are. Sounds cool? Well, that's the Phantom Stranger. He has vast powers, he can travel through all kinds of dimensions and mystical realms, and he is seemingly nigh-omniscient. He could be introduced in Constantine exactly as I described him. You don't have to tell too many things about the Stranger, after all.
By the way, in some incarnations, Phantom Stranger is depicted as a fallen angel who was condemned to walk Earth alone for all time, because he sided with neither Heaven nor Hell during Satan's rebellion. We already have a fallen angel of questionable intent in the series: Manny. Could he become the Stranger?

MADAME XANADU
Fortune teller, psychic, mystic, sorceress, immortal. And sister of Morgana Le Fay. A member of the Justice League Dark, Xanadu is a "homo magi" (like Zatanna) and in the comic books she had contacts with Constantine, the Spectre, the Phantom Stranger, Nabu and John Zatara. She is very involved with any kind of magic-related business, so I trust she will appear, sooner or later.

DEADMAN
Ghosts exist in Constantine, so the tormented Boston Brand aka Deadman can be introduced fairly easily. He could be still seeking justice for his murder, and the Hellblazer investigates on his case to give him some peace.

JASON BLOOD - DEMON ETRIGAN
My favourite. Blood is a British occultist, demonologist, paranormal detective and consultant, and former Arthurian knight. He practically does the same thing Constantine does. He is, however, immortal and his soul was bonded to a demonic Lord of Hell called Etrigan. I think it would be cool to see Blood and Constantine work together, especially considering that the former has a demon inside him, and we all know Constantine's relationship with demons.
Plus, Etrigan speaks in rhyme. That's bad-freaking-ass.

So, what do you think about my wish list? What magical characters do you want to see in Constantine? Post your thoughts below.
