Cliff Bleszinski has a long history in the gaming industry, beginning at the age of 11. He will be working alongside writer Alex de Campi, known for works such as Dracula, Motherf**Ker! and Parasocial, as well as artist Sandy Jarrell, who has worked on titles such as Bombshells and Lynx. The trio have teamed up for Scrapper, a six-issue sci-fi miniseries comic book that will be published by Image Comics.

Scrapper promises to be a heartwarming tale that combines action-packed sci-fi with emotional depth. The story follows a stray dog named "Scrapper" and his friend "Tank" as they fight against the oppressive forces of a post-apocalyptic domed city. When the battle comes to Scrapper's home, he faces the prospect of losing what's most important to him while also uncovering a terrifying truth.

According to Bleszinski, Scrapper is inspired by the loss of his beloved Australian Shepherd Teddy and the subsequent love he found with his Pomsky Lady.

Co-writer Alex de Campi emphasizes that this story is perfect for pet lovers and those who have ever wanted to pet the dog in a video game.

Scrapper #1 is set to hit comic book stores on Wednesday, July 19th. The series will feature three different covers, which you can find below, along with some of the interior pages from the first issue!

Scrapper will also be available through various digital platforms such as Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play.

I'm a HUGE GoW fan. I'm glad to see that Bleszinski is out and about working on things. Bonus points for also having a pomsky 🙃

@Fogs - Definitely the good old days. They just haven't been the same after GoW 3... I keep hoping for a comeback, but I don't think it'll happen.

At least I have the books to keep me warm at night...

@NateBest - yeah... 4 and 5 are kinda OK but something (Cliff Blezinsky, perhaps?) was lost after 3. Haven't been the same indeed.
