I know the casting of Gambit may have happened a while but it still doesn't mean i can't do a reaction now, so I'm going to do it now and I don't care if you like it. I'm in charge of article so live with it.

Fox announced that Channing Tatum will be playing Remy LeBeau (Gambit) i had mixed feelings about it. We had only seen Gambit once and it was in one of the worst Comic Book Movies ever made. The character was poorly written and was only in for 5 minutes.

I don't have anything against Taylor Kitsch's  acting but he was poorly written and had no time screen time. I think Gambit shouldn't have even been it anyway. He had nothing to in it. He was basically just there just to add as many mutants as they could. A bit like Ryan Reynold's Deadpool character. Who was only in it just to be transformed into the worst mutant ever created and had a lot of useless powers.

I can't wait for Channing Tatum to play Gamibt. I think he would be the best person to play him. One of Gambit's powers is Hypnotic Charm and Channing Tatum has a charm with the ladies and will be perfect for the part. But i'm a bit sketchy about his action acting. The only action films that he has been in is the G.I.Joe films

Overall, i think that this is a good move for Fox but it will only work if they write him right.

I'm not sure he could carry a movie by himself but I think he does comedy well. He plays off his costars though and it works. Problem is, if Gambit gets a solo film he doesn't have much to work with. If Gambit is in an X-Men film I think Channing would do fine.
