Acci magazine has posted a new video interview with Ryan Reynolds for Green Lantern, and at the end of the interview they ask him about the Deadpool movie.

"Yeah, [Deadpool] is being worked on as we speak right now. It's so different from a regular super hero movie; in fact it’s a deconstruction of a super hero movie: Deadpool knows he's in a comic book. Deadpool knows he's in a movie. In some ways it's kind of almost a parody of super hero movies, but at the same time he has his own tragic story. I always say it is a bit of Phantom of the Opera meets Airplane meets Caddyshack."

BLADE 3, Wolverine, and now Green Lantern. do we really need him to play Deadpool.

Green Lantern was a disappointing film, but it wasn't a "bad" comic book movie. It was by no means the worst comic book movie whatever the figures say.

it was not the worst comic book movie. but Green Lantern as a movie is bad. badly edited, bad script writing, some bad casting expect Mark Strong he was great in the movie, cgi costume, bad first trailer.

DC needs to rethink what they doing when making movies.

Really Reynolds sucks? Um he wasnt half bad as Hannibal King, and Deadpool well the one at the end wasnt really Reynolds' fault. And GL wasnt his fault either.

If you notice it is only when they ASK him does talk about the movie. He is not promoting Deadpool but he did contribute to the script but He does not own this property. Fans seem to think he can do what he wants.

OMG ive been waiting for this movie since forever! Deadpool is my favorite superhero and im just getting tired of no news or official filming time, im kinda getting tired of this, im just pissed. If its not in theaters by 2013 i give up on this movie.

@jazzman- Agreed, every CBM Reynolds has starred in- FAILED.

I said it on another article...Ryan Reynolds is quickly becoming "CBM Poison"

3 failed CBMs with him in it in big roles. He needs to step away from CBMs for a while...

I love his description of Deadpool. Also: I hope that a second GL gets made. The first one was blood AWESOME. Oh, and to all of you haters: him as Wade ((at the beginning of Origins)) was one of the best characters in all of X-Men film history. As for him as Hannibal: it wasn't a good interpretation of the character. I feel like he was more Deadpool than anything else. Ryan IS Deadpool AND Hal Jordon. Nuff said.

People are giving the guy a lot of hate, when all he does is inject charisma to what little material given. He and Mark Strong were the best thing about GL.

Yeah im sure Blade 3 and Wolverine Origins were bad movies becuase Ryan Reynolds was in them, and he wasnt even the main character in either. And all crtics say the best thing about GL was Reynolds preformance. So its not his fault CBMs he does dont turn out well.

You all are haters. None Of the past two cbms he was on was his fault. He played wade Wilson in origins perfectly. That excuse for Deadpool was not his fault. He was good on green lantern too, the crappy cgi, editing and script were not his fault. He is an actor, not the writer, or editor, or fckin fx guy. Give the mofos behind the camera the credit THEY deserve, even when it's a crappy movie or not.

u guys think we hate Ryan Reynold actually we dont but it does not help when he was in 3 CBM and their all failed even tho 2 of them CBM he was in a supporting role and 1 he was the lead but still all 3 CBM failed. its not a good look for Ryan Reynolds period when it comes to comic book movies.

yeah i agree, some of these guys dont get it we dont hate the guy i think his cool and all but 3 failed major comic book movies is not a good look for him. maybe RIPD is really his only chance to shine cause its not a Marvel or DC character. but if RIPD also failed thats it.

@N- I agree with you on him not being a fan and is fake like oliva munn she definitely is a fake.

@Rhoki- dude he was a shitty hal jordan, he had no business being in the movie, theres a reason it did bad, the movie itself was bad but mark strong was still a good sinestro they just didnt show much of him. ryan is not hal and that was the main problem with that movie for me besides the storyline. he was decent as wade wilson except the fact that he was deflecting bullets with his katana, um he doesnt do any of that until he becomes deadpool and then they runined him later on. but once again that was a crappy movie, i could name a bunch of reasons why it was bad and what they messed up on. ive been reading green lantern since before geoff johns took over and then started reading his stuff when he started and if that makes me a hater cause the movie blew ass then a hater i am.

Reynolds ditched marvel for dc. Yet most of you marvel-fans are still lobbying for the guy to be deadpool?

You do realize he still has some interest in playing the Flash for DC right?

And...besides there are plenty of other better suited actors for DP besides Reynolds. He isn't the be-all, end-all of Deadpool.

ok, STOP all the hate on Reynolds.
First off, green lantern was just poorly written and edited, ryan as hal was cool.

secondly,ryan as wade wilson was the perfect fit, but then Gavin Hood gave Deadpool different powers which [frick]ed things up for every fan of Deadpool

and lastly, blade 3 was cool and hannibal king was my favourite character.

I am patiently waiting for the deadpool movie because I know it IS going to happen.

Obviously its not completely his fault that the three cbms he was in were total shit, but it is somewhat his fault. He always brings the same personality to every movie hes in aka the van wilder personality where everything a cute little joke. When you put that in a movie like blade it makes no sense and seems kind of stupid(which it was). As for hal jordan he just didnt fit the character he was a bad choice and they only picked him because he was in shape he did nothing to try to change himself to act like hal he just did the van wilder persona again.

I do on the other hand hold him 100% responsible for the complete joke that was deadpool in xmen, he says hes a true deadpool fan but when he read that script and say what was gonna happen with deadpool he should have torn the script up and refused the role, but he didnt because hes a fake.

He is cbm poison and they should do a new GL with john stewart and a new deadpool with someone else
