My fan cast might be a little out there to some of you but i think some fresh faces need to be given the opportunity. So no, you will not be seeing Chiwetel Ejiofor, Idris Elba, or Terry Crews in this fan cast. Here are my picks for some of the main characters.
T'Chaka - Djimon Hounsou
My pick to play Panther daddy is Djimon Hounsou. I know he is a fan favorite to play the lead role in a BP movie but i honestly feel that his time has passed. If Marvel had been serious about making a BP movie years ago, my first choice would have been Djimon. Honestly i think folks just keep going back to him because he is like the de facto guy to play any role that requires a black man with an accent.
Ramonda - Gina Torres She is no stranger to the sci-fi/fantasy world (Xena, Firefly, Flash Forward) and she also happens to be a terrific and under rated actress. She would be my choice to play step-mother to T'Challa.
T'Challa - Aldis Hodge He has been flying under the radar unless you happen to be an avid watcher of Leverage where he plays the role of "Hacker". He has also starred in Super Natural, Bones, Castle, The Game and other tv shows/movies. Aldis would be an ideal candidate to carry on as The Black Panther.
Ororo Munroe - Tika Sumpter Another fresh face who i think would be the perfect Storm. Halle Berry has proven beyond a doubt that popular casting can sometimes prove to be the wrong casting (See also: Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan). Tika started off on the soap circuit but has transitioned to primetime TV shows including The Game and Gossip Girl.
Ulysses Klaw - Vincent Cassel Vincent happens to be another under-rated actor. You can always count on him to deliver in whatever role he is playing. I think he would be the perfect choice to play the physicist turned solid sound.
Again, i should reiterate that these are my choices so try not to foam at the mouth in the comments section. :)
