Hal Jordan or John Stewart for Zack Snyder DC Universe

Hello again CBM fans. Im back again but for a different reason, so lets not waste anytime and get this discussion going. Im here to give you my THOUGHTS and opinions on which green lantern i would like to see. Before we begin, i haven't read any green lantern comics this is just my opinion!! 

once again i would like to apologize for not being able to add pictures to make this article decent and beautiful like all the others. 

For a few months now we've been hearing rumors about Green Lantern for the upcoming Justice League Movie, here are the Rumors that i've read on this site..

Rumors..
1. I remember reading that WB/DC wanted a OLDER green lantern, in his late 30s to early 40s.
2. Chris Pine was rumored for this role a few times, and a few weeks ago his name came up again.
3. Tyrese Gibson keeps posting pictures of him dressed up as Green Lantern hinting he is in talks for the role.

So what does this all mean? I honestly don't see the rush to cast green lantern, his movie isn't coming out no time soon. But i don't mind WB/DC casting now to get a good actor for the role while they still can. 

Now lets get into the big question...Hal Jordan or John Stewart?? 

let me explain why i think John Stewart WON'T and WILL work..
1. ACTING -
if John Stewart is the one to show up for the movie than the question we must ask is WHO?? you need a african american actor WHO CAN HOLD THEIR OWN and most importantly ACT in a solo super hero movie...in this case there are only a few actors who can hold their own.

here is just a list of actors that i think can hold their own. 
David Oyelowo (selma)
Derek Luke (Antwone Fisher)
Nate Parker (Red Tails)
Omari Hardwick (Power TV series)
Jamie Foxx (Django) 
in my mind these actors CAN hold their own in a super hero movie if given the chance, and i would love to see one of them as john stewart. 
i don't think WB/DC will go with an unknown actor that we NEVER heard of for the role of john stewart, but thats just what i think. 

Thats really the only reason to me! you need a african american actor who can hold their own and act if they want to be the green lantern. 

Tyrese Gibson - He is a decent actor, he was great in "Baby Boy" his only good movie, and did a good job in "Waist Deep" but he can NOT hold his own in a solo movie super hero, He doesn't look like Green Lantern to me, and i don't think he can handle the role of a super hero. 
I honestly think IF HE DOES get the role, i think it will be because of THE ROCK. They been together since FAST FIVE, and with the Rock playing black adam i can totally see the rock telling WB/DC to get this guy if not me. 

John Stewart WILL work -  
1. DIVERSITY - i am probably the only person who is liking the casting ideas of DC, bringing cyborg along is great news, adding more diversity to the DCU will only make it more interesting i think. 

2. we get a different story! i havent read any john stewart comics but i have read a lot of comments saying "hes not that interesting" but thats what writers are for to make a great story for his solo movie. After all...look what RDJ did with iron man, i assume iron man wasnt that popular and no body really knew or cared for iron man until RDJ made iron man cool. Now everywhere i go i see more iron man posters and toys. I see more Iron man toys at the store than batman toys ha. so i am sure someone can make john stewart somewhat interesting, and popular.

HAL JORDAN - OK before we begin this, let me start off by saying RYAN REYNOLDS did a GOOD job as hal jordan, it was NOT his fault for the movie being so bad, blame the director and the cgi effects. 
I would love to see hal jordan get rebooted and done right. 

Actors i think could fit the Hal Jordan Role. 
Chris Pine (star trek)
Bardley Cooper (his voice annoys me though)
Michael C hall (DEXTER)
Jensen Ackles (Supernatural)
Ryan Gosling (Notebook)
James Marsden (x-men)
 
REBOOT - i wouldn't mind a reboot or a continuation of the Hal Jorda story. Again i have not read any comics, so forgive me for not knowing much about the characters but i think giving us a new hal jordan story would be interesting and cool to see on the screen again. Would WB/DC risk it by going with John Stewart for a solo movie? what if we get Hal Jordan in the solo movie and maybe have a cameo by John Stewart? maybe fight together, i wouldn't mind that at all.

at the end of the day i think WB/DC knows that whoever they decide to cast, they need someone who can act, and one again hold their own in a solo superhero movie and i think thats the important reason. If they go with john stewart i would like to think and hope its one of the actors i listed, and if they go with Hal Jordan then i will be good with that as well.

at the end of the day i am just happy to be living in the golden age of CBMs right now.
