Spectacular Spider-man 6
Peter is unsure what to do. His life was going so well up until a few months ago. He’s been trying to patch things up with Gwen and has had several small successes, his supervillains are behind bars, he’s got his freelance photographer job back at the Bugle, Eddie is missing and his last school year is about to start in a week.
Spider-man battles the Enforcers of Montana, Fancy Dan and Ox as they keep watch in a warehouse filled with illegal and stolen goods. (“Ox is going to make a new name for himself!” “What’s wrong with the old one? Too hard to spell?”)
He defeats them all and then swings off home. At Gwen’s house she arrives home and heads to her room. Inside on the ceiling is Venom who webs her mouth shut. He greets her and then growls (“We are so happy to see you!”)
Peter is on his way to the Bugle when he runs into MJ. They are on friendly enough terms and Peter asks her how Harry is doing. She tells him not well and he’s paranoid, possessive and insanely jealous and she doesn’t see it working out for them for much longer. Peter, now single, takes an interest in her and watches her walk away.
On his way home from the Bugle that night, he hears a break-in at the Museum and goes to help. It’s Black Cat, escaping with a large diamond and ruby. Spidey chases after her and tells her how relieved he is to know she’s alive and asks what happened.
Black Cat confesses that after she met him, she wanted to be more than a Cat Burglar and tried to be a wannabe hero when she tried to help him fight the sinister 7. But that bolt fired by Electro reminded her she didn’t have powers and she’s nothing more than a thief so went back to doing what she does best. Spidey tells her he’s relieved and has to stop her now. They fight a bit before Black Cat takes off her mask and lifts up his. She kisses him and says she’s been attracted to him a long time now. Shocked and unable to move, Peter can only blink as she slowly removes his mask.
Black Cat looks mortified that he’s only 16 and starts to vomit. Peter doesn’t know what to do and puts his mask back on. Black Cat is horrified and runs off. Peter feels stupid and it’s only half-way home he realises he let her take the diamond and ruby. He feels like such an idiot.
Once home he tries to ring Gwen but no answer and leaves a message. He goes to sleep.
Next morning and Peter is swinging around, doing his superhero rounds when out of nowhere he is smacked and sent spiralling into the street. Unaware of what hit him; he turns around as a car flies towards him. Ducking, Peter leaps onto a flagpole and stares down at Venom. He instantly recognises the symbiote and is terrified when it calls him “Parker” He decides to leg it to the rooftops but Venom catches up and grabs him from behind, crushing him in a tight grip. There, Eddie reveals himself and he thanks Parker for “joining the two of them.” Peter pleads with Eddie and he doesn’t listen as he tosses Peter back into the street, which saves himself with his web shooters. Peter gets his ass kicked by Venom who stops to laugh at his weakness. Peter grabs a dented lamppost and smacks him around the face with it and leaves, rushing home to get Aunt May safe.
Leaving him for now, Venom jumps into an alleyway where he starts to cough up little balls of black goo. He thinks nothing of it and the symbiote tells him that Parker must pay and those who love Parker must pay and he leaps off.
Peter arrives home and looks for Aunt May. He’s relieved to find a note from her saying she is away for the weekend with Anna Watson on a trip to Jersey. Peter realises this gives him 48 hours or so to deal with Venom.
He next stops at Gwens to find the place empty. He feels sick as he swings off to find Venom again.
As night falls, a man stalks the streets looking for his next victim. He follows a young woman and snatches her, dragging her into an alleyway and throwing her on the ground. He tries to cut her throat with his knife but she makes a struggle and kicks him, causing him to drop the knife and cut his thumb . He gets the knife and brutally murders her (off screen) and sits down beside the body. He looks at his thumb and puts his hand to the ground to sit in peace. His bloody thumb touches a black substance, which starts to enter his bloodstream. The black turns to red and orange and starts to pulse and cover the man’s arm as he sits and waits. He feels the power come to him and feels blessed and happy as the new strength consumes him. As it covers his face, his mouth, filled with long razor teeth and a dark tongue screech in murderous rage.
J.J puts the paper down on his desk “The headline on the front page was “Kasady escapes Custody!” with a picture of the murderer we just saw. “I bet Spider-man planned this, along with his gang of weirdos” J.J tells Urich. “It can’t be a coincidence that the most vile and dangerous and psychotic killer escapes Rykers prison the same time as Beck escapes to join Spider-man and his merry band of superhuman followers.”
At home, Peter is worrying about Gwen and on the T.V Venom appears, causing chaos on Brooklyn Bridge, hanging by her legs, is Gwen.
Peter is horrified and swings as fast as he can to her. On the bridge, Venom and Spider-man battle it out as the webs holding Gwen starts to weaken and she starts to fall further and further. Venom and Spidey take turns in having the upper hand but finally the web snaps and Spidey fires a web line to save her.
With Gwen saved for a little longer, Spidey pummels Venom into submission and jumps off to get Gwen to safety. But she’s dead. Her neck snapped due to whiplash when she got saved by the web line. Peter killed her. He feels numb, enraged and completely heart broken. He starts to scream and cry and doesn’t know what he’s going to do. He sees the police arrive and run to him and with another lurch it’s Captain Stacy.
Without running away he carries her body to them and breaks down with Captain Stacy as the realisation hits him of his daughter’s death. He tells Spider-man to go after Venom and kill him. Spider-man promises to and swings off. He lands on a building, takes off his mask and just sobs and sobs.
Across the city, murders are happening and several of the police force are baffled at the horrific injures and the writing of “CARNAGE RULES!” in blood.
Peter doesn’t sleep once her returns home and a few hours later, Captain Stacy calls around to tell him of Gwen’s death. They talk for a while and Stacy leaves with a cryptic sentence that will make people say “Wait – does he know he’s Spider-man?!”
Peter gets about 20 minutes sleep and avoiding calls from MJ and Harry he leaps off into the city to track down Venom. First he calls SHEILD and they don’t answer for some reason and he leaves a message telling them the situation and if they don’t end up swopping in on time, he may end up killing Eddie.
He swings by the Bugle as Spider-man and demands that J.J put the front page “Spider-man vs Venom 6:30 on top of the Bugle. J.J is excited and hoping to sell thousands and thousands of copies….then once it’s printed he realises he’s done what Spider-man has told him and the Bugle is in danger of being destroyed in the fight.
Cleatus reads the paper and decides to interfere and destroy both Venom and Spider-man together and then he can rule the city and do whatever he pleases. He turns into Carnage and screeches in pleasure as he begins to stalk a mother and child.
On top of the Bugle, Peter is waiting for Venom, it’s getting dark and all around the building are people with cameras and cheering on Spider-man. He feels hollow as he looks around him
“We did not kill the girl” Venom says, appearing being him. Spidey turns. “It was you, we only instigated it. Parkers fault” Venom hisses. Peter acknowledges that fact and then tells him it’s not going to stop him kicking his ass within an inch of his life. And so begins their battle atop the Bugle. The outcome is unpredictable as they fight Spideys costume gets ripped and torn and the mask isin tatters and Venom eventually lures him towards a factory.
It’s there Spidey gains the upper hand and smashes him into a wall and traps Venom. He starts to choke him and out of the rage and the hissing, Eddies terrified voice comes out saying “Help me, I can’t control it.”
Peter stops hitting him. He realises this could be true and reflects on how his own personality changed when he wore the suit. Suddenly Peter is grabbed by the head and tossed high into the air as he’s in the air he sees Venom stand up and the start to fight Carnage. Peter doesn’t know what it is and neather does Eddie.
Carnage tears into the both and they both realise it’s more deadly than both them so despite the fact it’s Venoms fault Gwen is dead, they join together temporarily to take down Carnage. Venom speaks to Eddie and tells them Carnage is their offspring. Eddie is annoyed that it never explained to him they had offspring and Venom tells him it didn’t care.
As the three fight, Carnage is winning, delivering massive blows to both its foes before scaling the cooling tower. On top there, Carnage has Spidey beat and is about to rip his face off when Venom comes to the rescue and they fall. As they fall they fight and it looks like Venom has Carnage beat when they land on an oil tanker and it explodes. Peter lays down for a few minutes, he doesn’t know whats happened and he leaps down to find out if any survived. Neither Carnage nor Venom can be found. Peter doesn’t know whats happened to Eddie and is unsure if he wants Eddie to have survived not. He remembers what he told Captain Stacy about killing him and comes to the conclusion that he would never have done it anyway. Doing so would not make him better than any of the thugs and baddies he defeats. Anyway, inadvertently killing Gwen was bad enough. He heads home injured and tired and upset. He opens the door to find Mary Jane, Harry Osborn and Aunt May sitting waiting for him. They all stare at him and Peter looks down at his tattered costume and injuries. Aunt May faints.
Notes
I decided to introduce Carnage and thought this could Spider-man movie could be a 15 (or an R for U.S). I mean Carnage is a real badass villain and defo deserves to make it to the big screen and be done justice so to have Kasadys backstory and show what a f**king psycho he is would be very interesting. I mean why not, after 5 movies of course things should get darker and with Venom also being set up I might as well….and if kids want to see it well then you can either get scared out of your wits or wait until your old enough to be scared out of your wits….it’s really down to the kids and parents but if a movie age rating shouldn’t stand in the way of telling a good story….especially bring in the likes of Carnage.
Also at the end decided that MJ, Harry and May should find out about Peter…..it was originally going to be MJ waiting for him to tell her how sorry she was that Gwen was killed and that she broke up with Harry, she leaves and then Peter says “I’m Spider-man.” And the movie ends with her shocked face….but…just decided they should find out.
Sure this one seems a bit rushed but there's other bits and bobs that can be incooporated into it...I just gave a briefer than usual summery of what happens.
