Written and Directed by Joey Lever, Lost Cause is a true passion project and entirely independent. shot in the hands of Andrew Miles this new vision of Spider-Man intends to challenge upcoming Marc Webb and Andrew Garfield reboot "Amazing Spider-Man 2" by throwing the character into a truly visceral, brutal and realistic world exposing the darker, more honest and affecting traits of legendary marvel comic book character to the screen. We are taking Spider-Man on a different route we could actually say we are completely imagining him. for starters we are creating a new costume, creating new villains and putting into new and different environments. we are having him represented in a different country and a different way in which you would of never ever seen before.

Director: Joey Lever
Writer: Joey Lever
Film Composer: Jascha Heidicke
Producer: Joey Lever
Cinematographer: Andrew Miles, Jordan Schofield and Tom Wallbanks
SFX: Heath Gleason

Peter Parker, a lone child, discovers that his parents were in a horrifying plot to change mankind. After being bitten by his father's invention, he develops superhuman abilities and tries to find the answers he's been searching for his whole life, while trying to juggle a relationship with his girlfriend and trying to find his Uncle's murderer.

Please no bashing "The Amazing Spider-Man" in the comments. Who am I kidding, people will bash, anyway.

Oh great. Another Spider-Man story that removes all the everyman qualities that make Spider-Man relatable and focuses on Peter's parents, who nobody cares about.

While this looks like a very valiant effort and a lot of hard work was definitely put in this....

...I have to say I was immediately turned off by the british accents....

...Its a personal thing....Peter Parker is a kid from Queens, NY and so am I. Too relative of a character for me to be able to alter him that much in my mind.

Great job to the makers though. There is a good amount of quality to this film. Cheers

Jesus, it's pretty funny that they chose to name it the "Lost Cause", haha.... I really want to say something good about this, but it's not happening

You know, as someone who likes TASM, I would love it if Spidey went home to Marvel.

@EthanSmith1

Definitely, I think Fantastic 4 and Spidey should come home to Marvel, just the character interactions that would be possible if they were all in the MCU is enough of a reason for me.... Seeing Spidey, Cap, and Iron Man together would be amazing, or The Thing vs The Hulk, Reed, Banner, Stark, (Old) Pym together, Galactus and Silver Surfer would come with Fantastic 4 too.... I should stop now, I'm dreaming again, haha

@DrKinsolving

I think they should make at least 2 or 3 stand-alone MCU Spider-Man movies before crossing over.

@DrKinsolving

I have my own ideas of what they could do. Maybe I should make my own editorial.

Watch the whole movie was hard but I did it. A lot of things I didn't like about the plot... is Nightshade even a real villain or they just created him? They copied a lot from the first movie in Raimi's trilogy and obviously from the new movies.

I did like some stuff... they tied it with the MCU (mentioning Captain America and Tony Stark) and they set up some villains like Electro, Venom, Green Goblin and others. I'd be interested if they make a sequel that doesn't borrow from other movies.

Of course, it wasn't THAT much... but it was good silly fun. =)

I thought they were going to make a NEW costume. This fan-film is pure shit that came from the shitter. I mean... this is shit to the max. The only two things I did like was the soundtrack and the final swinging around thing, which was a knock off of the final scene in the Amazing Spiderman. They think they're up to par with the new films? The Marc Webb movies are the Godfather trilogy compared to this shit. I could see Spiderman's fricking wang in that suit! I hate this. Now to write my review on my blog, which I don't have.

Hey I'm British and I've gotta say the regional Northern accents did this project no favours, but hey what are the guys gonna do? - It's a fan film.

I think the Spidey Suit is home made.

His next project is Ironman. Here's an exclusive sneak-peek at the costume in development:
