To Kill A Mockingbird Fan Cast

GreendaleHumanBeing's streets ahead remake of Superman's favorite movie (and also book.)

Some of you maybe asking yourselves, "why is this on CBM.com?" Well To Kill a Mockinbird is often cited as Clark Kent's favorite book/movie. So without further delay, below is my fan cast for a remake of To Kill a Mockingbird:

Atticus Finch: Jon Hamm

Reason: Atticus Finch is perhaps the single greatest hero in cinema and American literature. He is the vanguard of moral right in the Deep South where racism is rampant. I wrestled between Hamm and Kyle Chandler for the role. Both actors are ideal candidates, but Hamm gets the edge for his likeness to the brilliant Gregory Peck.

Scout Finch: Kiernan Shipka

Reason: Ms. Shipka has really blossom into quite a young actress on Mad Men. Her natural chemistry with Jon Hamm make this selection even better.

Jem Finch: Joel Courtney

Reason: Super 8 star Joel Courney is the cookie cutter choice to represent the innocent Jem Finch, who discovers the true nature of bravery in the film.

Bob Ewell: Kevin Spacey

Reason: The ever-professional Spacey has the acting abilities to land the role of the racist, alcoholic, and abusive Bob Ewell.

Calpurnia: Viola Davis

Reason: I find it lazy to type cast, but simply watch The Help. she's a no-brainer.

Tom Robinson: Michael B. Jordan

Reason: Michael b. Jordan's role in the recent film Chronicle has brought name recognition to the CBM crowd. Yet, he has always been one of my go to actors in fan casts. Already having acted in both The Wire and Friday Night Lights, he has displayed a great range necessary to play the innocent victim, Tom Robinson.

Maudie Atkinson: Julianne Moore

Reason: Moore is one of the all time greats at her craft. She is never afraid to play a role too big or too small. Her strong screen charisma is exactly what I look for in the role of Maddie.

Mayella Ewell: Shailene Woodley

Reason: Thank goodness for The Descendants. Now Shailene Woodley can start to look for a life that isn't so secret (pun intended). She has shown in that show that will not be named enough fortitude and range for the accused rape victim Mayella.

@DDD its just one article and it is in the fan fic section anyway. sometimes its fun to see something other than 856th fancast for the Flash staring Bradley Cooper.

@starsofwar Boo Radley is such an enigma that it was too hard for me to come up with someone for the part.

Great cast considering that I've seen this film a long time ago.

Man the original is classic... but I think it's been long enough and of course it's based on a book (even though the original movie got it spot on) and there's always room fro interpretation. Great cast btw!

This is a good casting, I wasn't saying it was bad.

It is just REALLY stretching it to say it fits on COMICBOOKMOVIE.COM.

This is not just a GENERAL movie site.

It's not OK to just put anything here.

This does not fit on this site AT ALL!

So I guess this site isn't "COMIC BOOK" MOVIE.COM
anymore. It's just a GENERAL movie site, huh?

And I went and thought this was still a COMIC BOOK
movie site. Silly Me!

And I'm the bad guy for thinking non-comics movie
fancasts don't belong here.
Guess I'm just a stupid guy!

NOWTHERESABATMAN@...
that's the problem...NOBODY CARES anymore on this site.

This is still a comic book site, a comic book movie
site, right?

Or am I mistaken and it's changed it's name to
GENERALMOVIES.COM and is just a GENERAL movie site?

My bad!

There are standards for writing articles
for FANFIC just like NEWS or MAIN.
People need to read them.

I guess there's no EDITOR here in FANFIC anymore.
WTF?

@DDD
if you want to be technical, like the description says, this is Superman's favorite book and movie. On a less technical point, who cares. Its fanfic for people who are fans of Comicbookmovies. People that are here are here because they are fans of comic book movies (some of which I've realized don't even read the comics). With that in mind, why is it so wrong that in a Fanfic section, the fans of comic book movies can branch out a bit and have fun. I respect the idea of keeping areas like news focused on comic books and comic book movies, but I actually enjoy the variety that is in Fanfic and editorials. Just have fun with it.

The only man that could come close to matching Gregory Peck as Atticus is Daniel Day Lewis.
