Foreword:
This I my first post, please do be gentle but constructive crit is appreciated & please feel free to banter. Also as one wise man once uttered…”there are no more original/new stories…just new & interesting ways to tell the old ones.”
First step:
So my ideas stem from much of the old movies, animated ones & very much from the new 52 & Young Justice Series. In my arch it starts with the World’s Finest movie in which Batman goes after Joker who has gone to Metropolis to deliver a precious item he stole for Luthor from Wayne Enterprises. This brings all four iconic characters together…yes whoever takes the roles of Batman & Joker will have the shadows of Bale & Ledger, why try to avoid it, this way we tell an interesting story & the actors can focus more on this initial story. So in this concept, Luthor has a partner (ala Young Justice) who requires the "item” Joker has stolen for their final goal (JL movie plot point). Joker wants in because he figures there’s a greater play at hand, the partner considers him volatile & unpredictable, he takes Metropolis “down to his level” & takes on Superman. Who ignores Batman’s pleads not to underestimate the Joker. Joker commits some heinous acts mostly as a tantrum & as a way of getting Superman’s attention. Batman is trying to find out what the connection is & Superman has to race all over metropolis to save people & when he fails to save one life, he is devastated & with time running out has to turn to Batman. There’s a climactic end where Lex provides Joker with kryptonite & his bodyguard (Metallo) as assistant to take out the heroes in hopes he can succeed where many have failed. In the end Lex has to give up Joker to save Metropolis as even he can’t fathom the depravity & insanity of the Jokers acts, even if it means destroying Superman. Bats save him from Metallo & they apprehend Joker, but the damage is done, Superman can’t be everywhere at once & can’t save everyone. Batman fears Luthors plan as he knows there’s more going on. The movie would end with Lex meeting his partner(s) at the docks with his item; we see a shaded figure talk about their plans & the next phase.
Justice League First movie:
This movie takes place shortly after events in the World Finest movie; Batman is undercover & uncovers a plot by Luthor to take control over world leaders via Starro (the item he presented his partner). Using much of the same way in Young Justice where they combined the alien, with Nano tech & magic to create the mind control. However, this leads to the ultimate threat; an infected president plants the Starro on Superman at a mock medal ceremony. Now the villains control Superman, first order of business, take out all the Super heroes or implant them with Starro. This leads batman to enlist the help of some of the other heroes or come to their aid. Unlike the Avengers, this is a great way to have the "everyone fights everyone'' idea, as they are either trying to fight Superman or each other when infected. I also see an eventual battle between Superman & Batman in the Dark Knight Returns mould. The fallout from all this would result in the Batman creating his fail safe in regards to the eventual heroes going rogue/evil (Tower of Babel).
This would lead to our eventual sequel:
In my stories, they are not a team but came together in a time of need, also I hope that the individual movies would have been done between these two & WF movie. In this one the partner is revealed to be Vandal Savage & like the JL Doom animated movie, he uses the Batman’s plans to “kill” the Justice league. This is where Martian Manhunter Makes his arrival, as the villains seem to be using alien tech (this could also be introduced in the first) the eventual plan is to cause world-wide genocide. Also the tech being used would be from Apokolips & yes this leads to the eventual third instalment after the heroes finally create the team.
Darkseid ( JL3):
The eventual all-out war on earth the heroes being pushed like never before, the issues of the second movie bringing the team into conflict & the resolution that combines them once & for all. This should take place after Superman has died in a solo movie & resurrects in this one.
Final word;
Maybe not the best ideas, but all the empty threads can be filled with solo movies & the idea that it’s all interconnected is a great way to keep the universe connected. Also I have cast ideas & I am filling you in again…just ideas, feel free to bash them in. I will do the cast at a later time
