Snyder's first original movie roars into theaters and the reviews are very much like the movie, all over the place.

I'll start off by saying I held no expectations or high standards for this movie. I knew it was going to be a highly debated film, in which, it has been since it's release. I wanted Sucker Punch to be a good movie, I really did. What I got was an okay movie. The film constantly drags you around from the real world, a world full of glam and brothels, and finally the nowhere near real world. I'll start with the pros, and move to the cons, but overall this movie receives a fair B- from me.

PROS

The visuals in this movie are spectacular. Everything Snyder went for was nailed. In one particular scene, Sucker Punch becomes the closest thing to a live action anime I have ever seen. On top of that the casting was very well done. Every girl was as sexy as sexy can be and were very well trained for the movie. This movie can get any guy's blood bumping, that is for certain. Another huge pro is the way Zack Snyder films his movies. You really can't compare it to anyone else. His filming is so fluid and saturated your quick to double check if the movie has a layer of CGI applied to it. Unfortunately that's the end of the pros.

CONS

This movie is for lack of a better word, ALL OVER THE PLACE. I think Snyder had a few ideas for real cool action sequences and strung them together with a mediocre plot we've all seen before. Snyder also has a knack for making films that involve self sacrifice, so the ending which a few I've talked to have admitted they never saw coming, I saw coming as soon as the film started. The only downside to having a cast of hot female characters is developing them. The only cast members we are willed to care about is Baby Doll. Rocket and Sweet Pea are sympathetic because they're sisters. There is absolutely no character development for Blondie and Amber, at all. They are simple just there to help when needed, and look really hot doing it.

Other then that this film is undoubtedly going to have a cult following and be debated by this generations movie goers for quite some time.

This movie is best watched at home, on cable, with the lights off, the mute on, and some lotion handy nearby. Even then, only for the fifteen minutes you need to fap one out. I paid matinee price to see it and felt cheated. Seriously, it's this generation's Ultraviolet.
