“Guardians of the Galaxy,” the next epic adventure from Marvel Studios, is directed by James Gunn from his screenplay, with a story by Nicole Perlman and Gunn, and the film will introduce audiences to a whole new side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The all-star cast includes Chris Pratt as Peter Quill aka Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Michael Rooker as Yondu, Karen Gillan as Nebula, two-time Academy Award nominee Djimon Hounsou as Korath, Academy Award® winner Benicio del Toro as The Collector, Academy Award nominee John C. Reilly as Rhomann Dey, and six-time Academy Award nominee Glenn Close as Nova Prime. Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” is slated for August 1, 2014!

@ koala, Glenn Close is Nova Prime, not THE Nova. There are thousands of Novas, John C. Reilly and Peter Serafinowicz are also playing members of the Nova Corps.

Considered posting this, but then I thought, nah. Nice one dude... You can find out a lot of stuff about the movie and those involved through the social media; that's where I've been regularly checking cause I'm so excited about the movie, and I love The Animal!

so some parts might be cgi not all of it

I have a feeling this movie will be the IT movie to get a breakthrough to do more movies and perhaps even quit wrestling like The Rock. Shame Jason Mamoa passed up an grand opportunity like this. That was an dumb move.

Glenn Close as Nova Prime is fine in my books. As long as Rhomann Dey becomes Nova Prime by the end of the film so he can make Richie a Centurion in a Nova movie

i tell ya,this as been my most anticipated phase 2 movie since it was announced been a guardians fan mainly through the dan abbnett & andy lanning series.

marvel cosmic stories are untouchable,if guardians is successful prepare to see more cosmic movies from marvel studios in the future.

@MARVELPSYCHO79 you might want to tune in on Disney xd at 8:00 there showing guardians of the galaxy and thor tdw and captain tws footage and I think they might announce who playing rocket raccoon and groot because James Gunn did say this week he will announce who playing them.
