Lots of fun and exciting things are happening in the Disney Parks over the next couple of years. Rumors have been swirling and construction has been happening at both Disneyland in California and Disney World in Orlando that have fans buzzing with anticipation.

Tons of official announcements happened at Disney's D23 Expo this past weekend, and we are here to make sure that you're updated on the latest set of attractions, themed hotels, and just general awesomeness that the parks will offer.

Tron Lightcycle Roller Coaster:

This one we reported last week, but Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman, Bob Chapek, made it official at D23. The coaster will set up shop next to Space Mountain, and good news for you Disney World purest out there, the Tomorrowland Speedway will not be closing due to the new attraction. The coaster will be constructed behind the speedway, as illustrated in the concept art below.

Guardians Of The Galaxy:

With Guardians Of The Galaxy: Mission Breakout receiving rave reviews over at Disneyland's California Adventure, it is only natural that the Team of A-holes make their way to Disney World. Their World attraction will be another roller coaster, and replace the current Universe of Energy in EPCOT.

Universe of Energy will be closing on August 13, 2017 to make way for the new Guardians Of The Galaxy coaster, which is expected to be ready for Disney World's 50th anniversary in 2021.

Star Wars Land:

A bunch of great, new details have been revealed about Star Wars Land. First off, Chapek has revealed that the name of the new land will actually be Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. It was described as, "a remote trading port on the edge of wild space, where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life – and where guests will find themselves in the middle of the action."

Another little nugget of info came from Ziggy Knows Disney, where they found out from an imagineer that Disneyland's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will open before Disney World's that will be located in Hollywood Studios.

Disney also rgave fans their first scaled model look at the land. You can check some images of the model below, but for a gallary of images, click HERE.

Star Wars Hotel:

To go along with the Star Wars: Glaxay's Edge land coming to Disney World's Hollywood Studios, a new resort themed like the Galaxy far, far away will be coming as well. The resort is being touted as one big immersive experience for guests that includes widows that look out into outer space. “It’s unlike anything that exists today.” Chapek said. “From the second you arrive, you will become a part of a Star Wars story! You’ll immediately become a citizen of the galaxy and experience all that entails, including dressing up in the proper attire. Once you leave Earth, you will discover a starship alive with characters, stories, and adventures that unfold all around you. It is 100% immersive, and the story will touch every single minute of your day, and it will culminate in a unique journey for every person who visits.”

Marvel Land:

This one is classified as a rumor so far, as there has been no concrete announcement about it yet, but there is a tease of the land at the Guardians Of The Galaxy: Mission Breakout attration. However, the people at Disney Parks are working on a Marvel themed land for Disneyland's California Adventure. As of right now, details of the rumored land are minimal to say the least, but there does seem to be a Captain America attraction in the works, along with a number of others that could encompass the land.

Due to the contractual conflicts that would arise with Universal's Marvel attractions, don't expect the land to have Marvel in the title, but it looks as if Disney will be trying to get some of the properties that they acquired in the Marvel deal featured in their parks very soon.

All the above information covers the basis of what we all here at this site are excited about. However, you can head on over to Ziggy Knows Disney where there is a complete breakdown of all the new and exciting things coming to Disneyland and Disney World.

They need to make an Avengers Tower centerpiece with an awesome restaraunt at the roof and on each floor different set pieces from the movies and finally an Iron Man style VR rollercoaster where we are flying like Iron Man but in or VR we are battling Chitauri.

I went to some of these amusement parks a long time ago, we're talking about 2002 or 2003 so I doubt I'll be able to go back there and even less get inside of these ones but for those that can, congrats.

Really happy to hear about Dunkirk, got to wait one more week but time flies!
