Deadline has learned that Jack Champion (Avengers: EndgameAvatar: The Way of Water), Liana Liberato (If I StayLight as a Feather), Devyn Nekoda (Ginny & GeorgiaSneakerella), and Josh Segarra (ArrowShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law) have joined the ensemble cast of Paramount and Spyglass Entertainment's eagerly-awaited Scream 6

The four actors join returning players Melissa Barrera (Sam Carpenter), Jenna Ortega (Tara Carpenter), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy Meeks-Martin), Mason Gooding (Chad Meeks-Martin), Hayden Panettiere (Kirby Reed); while Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friend's WeddingThe Family Stone) is another recent addition to the cast. He'll be playing a cop, but no other details on his character have been revealed.

Filming is set to begin relatively soon, with Radio Silence (Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett) back at the helm, once again utilizing a screenplay from writers James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick.

In a shocking turn of events, Neve Campbell (Sidney Prescott) recently announced that she will not be back for the next installment due to a contract dispute, which likely suggests Courteney Cox (Gale Weathers) will also not be involved.

While plot details are under heavy lock-and-key, the next film will not take place in Woodsboro, but in New York, and an early synopsis says the film, “continues with the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.” Of course, unfortunately for them, Ghostface will be right on their tails.

Scream (2022) was one of this year's biggest box office smashes, grossing over $140 million worldwide on an estimated $24 million production budget, and successfully reviving the classic horror franchise after a decade-long hiatus.

Scream 6 is set to hit theaters on March 31, 2023.

Man, what a great season the 5th was of Arrow- the show's best hands down. Segarra played a really great Adrian Chase and Prometheus, and for me his character was the best villain of the Arrowverse.

@HeavyMetal4Life - imagine the whiplash arrow fans had when they saw peacemaker for the first time.

@Origame - haha, yup. I'd say that Segarra was a much better Adrian Chase, whereas Peacemaker had a much better Vigilante than Arrow did.

The young actor that was riding his bike and Paul Rudd's Ant-Man asked what happened to the world is in this cast, that's a good thing to hear about for him.

Nice for Josh Segarra, just unsure if they can make it not obvious if he will be their new Ghostface or actually will not be but instead a potential victim.

They say he's a cop but his face just screams Ghostface. He'll probably end up as the red herring since he naturally looks crazy.

@Himura - was thinking the exact same thing. Maybe he still is Ghostface, because the writers assume we'll think exactly that and pull the rug under us twice
