While we saw a crazy international spot earlier this week, Paramount Pictures has now released the first official domestic teaser for the eagerly-awaited Scream. This promo reveals a few snippets of new footage as we get to see Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) do her best to track down the dangerous new Ghostface, who seems to be a step ahead of everyone.

Joining Campbell are her two longtime franchise co-stars Courteney Cox and David Arquette, who are both set to return as Gale Weathers and Dewey Riley, while Marley Shelton will reprise her Scream 4 role as Sheriff Judy Hicks and Roger L. Jackson is back as the legendary voice of Ghostface.

The new cast features Melissa Barrera (Vida; Dos Veces Tú) as Sam Carpenter, Dylan Minnette (Prisoners13 Reasons Why) as Wes Hicks, Jasmin Savoy Brown (The LeftoversFor The People) as Mindy Meeks-Martin, Jenna Ortega (Jane the Virgin; Iron Man 3) as Tara Carpenter, Jack Quaid (The BoysThe Hunger Games) as Richie Kirsch, Mason Gooding (BooksmartLove, Victor) as Chad Meeks-Martin, newcomer Sonia Ammar as Liv McKenzie, Mikey Madison (Once Upon a Time... In HollywoodBetter Things) as Amber Freeman, and Kyle Gallner (Smallville; American Sniper) as Vince.

Radio Silence duo Matthew Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Ready or Not) directed the fifth installment with a screenplay from James Vanderbilt (Zodiac; The Amazing Spider-Man) and Guy Busick (Ready or Not; Castle Rock). Franchise creator Kevin Williamson is onboard as an executive producer.

Scream scares its way into theaters on January 14, 2022.

Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past. Neve Campbell (“Sidney Prescott”), Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) and David Arquette (“Dewey Riley”) return to their iconic roles in Scream alongside Melissa Barrera, Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Sonia Ammar.
