Has the green gamma giant gone into permanent hiding?

As far as Edward Norton returning as The Hulk, Feige said, "I think there's always a chance. It's certainly our intention to use the same actors from film-to-film where we can."(He's talking about the "Avengers" movie) However, should you be anticipating an The Incredible Hulk 2 you may be waiting a longtime, that is if it happens at all, as Feige added, "That would be post-Avengers if that happened."

I hope they do a sequel, I enjoyed the first movie.

Have to disagree @Ozymandias Edward Norton should return in both the Avengers and the Incredible Hulk 2

The Avenger's thread started on Norton's movie, not Bana's. It was RDJ that approached William Hurt's General Ross. It was Norton's Hulk! It would be really weird, and perhaps too confusing to swap the two Banners back and forth. I would suggest a new director. Leterrier did well, but the movie could've been way better. Ang Lee's was too moody and contemplative. TIH should have fast paced rythym, but not sacrifice drama either. The love triangle between Betty, Bruce, and Doc Samson was cut out. That would have set up more intrigue and foundations for other installments.

@Ozymandias
It's highly unlikely that Eric Bana will come back as Hulk and if Edward Norton doesn't come back it will most likely be a new guy.

dont worry this will happen with Norton but i think it will be after the first Avengers

I think that the first half of the Avengers will be about a team forming up to stop the Hulk and he will be the antagonist and a hidden force (perhaps Braniac) is manipulating hulks path of destruction. The second half will be about Redemption, team work and fighting the true enemy.

I liked Incredible Hulk, but I don't see Norton returning in Avengers...I think that the whole experience for ONE movie was like pulling teeth. Some actors, no matter how great they are, are not into the whole franchise thing...Look at Ryan Gosling

@sirius: i guess you mean the leader right? not brainiac

@DurkinKnight: I thought Norton was up for sequels

If Norton isnt in it, they will go without Banner and just Hulk it up the whole time.

I dont care for Eric Bana, his acting to me is very stiff. Granted it was a boring movie but, he didnt do alot to get me excited in HULK. I really hope to see Edward Norton come back and reprise Banner. I loved the Incredible Hulk.

There's nothing like waking up, turning on your computer and hearing more bad news-f**k. Marvel needs to kiss up a bit to Ed norton and resolve some of these issues with him. I'd hate to see him go, I'd hate to see them drop the ball on the hulk.

What went down with Ed Norton and the movie production?
The only thing i remember hearing is something about the Final Edit??????

Fill me in.
I loved this movie and can't think of what else it needed. Of course I would like all movies to have more action, but I understand the budget and they can only do so much.

HULK2 FTW !!!!

I hope they make one after the Avengers, but if not then they should at least stay true to the original Avengers line up and have the Hulk in there. As far as the changes in actors from Bana to Norton that was a contractual issue, Bana was contracted to Universal and Marvel would probably have had to buy him out of that contract, which made no sense when they were able to get a quality actor like Norton without getting into buying out contracts etc.

They can't forget about the Hulk. There is so much potential there. And they better include him in the Avengers movie.

Norton wanted a longer running time, and marvel wanted to have the movie come in at 1 hour 45 mins. Marvel felt the first movie was too long for kids to relate to. They should also consider the adults like myself who go for long running times, providing the story is worth it.

@marcolanni. Hypothetically, if your boss asked you to sign a 10 year contract that would consume all of your time, and force you to commit to a particular project at work without being able to work on anything else, find a new job, or leave the project if need be without breaching your contract resulting in legality and fees up the wahoo, would you do it?

Answer should be probably not. These actors need to think about themselves. A long term project with continuity would require serious commitment from a lot of busy people. And if the series flopped financially, then you have 50+ individuals (cast wise) that invested a few years of their lives that they can never get back, and in this business is something they can't afford.

It would be great to see the same people throughout the series, don't get me wrong, but I see it almost as in the comics, different artists and writers have different takes on characters. So should actors. You can't honestly tell me that Claremont Scott Summers is the same as original Scott Summers? It's a stretch but I feel we get more from our characters when different studios/actors try their hands at the roles.

Fact of the matter is, we just got spoiled with RDJ.

Ozymandias,
Chances are better than good that Hulk will be the antagonist for at least part of the movie. But really more like the cat's paw because in the story, Loki tricks the Hulk into attacking the newly formed Avengers, and then when they figure out what happened Hulk briefly teams up with them. So really it's Loki that is the antagonist.

Superdog, I don't think that was the intended use of the Hulk Hands... I actually feel a bit sorry for SuperMike. Why can't the two of you just get along? I mean you both have super in your names, who knows you may be related.

On Topic. I don´t understand why they didn´t hurry with TIHulk2 so it could be out in 2010 along with IM2 as well.
BOTTOM LINE: FEIGE IS CONFIRMING THAT, AT LEAST THE BRUCE BANNER CHARACTER (obviously Hulk too??) WILL BE IN THE AVENGERS MOVIE
