The New York Post has run a photo of Scarlett Johansson sporting long, dark red locks. The looks to be in prep for her role as the Black Widow in 'Iron Man 2'.

This is looking real disappointing...I was pretty pumped when Emily Blunt was picked because she looked dead on, but Scarlet continues to disappoint.

Logan, I'm with Rorsch... again! After our debate on the Fathom/Meagan Fox article... I'm starting to worry.

I won't get to into it, cause I just recently found out I was alone in liking Scarlett. I agree with all of you that Emily Blunt definitely had a better look. I haven't seen the Spirit yet so I don't know how good she was in it. I have seen her knock heads in a few movies and she seems a natural with fight choreography just in case anyone is worried about that.

fellas, fellas...it said that they're doing SCREEN TESTS. have you ever seen the screen tests for movies like lord of the rings, spider-man, incredible hulk, or any other movie? it's all part of the PROCESS of trial and error with getting the look right. they never actually end up looking anything like the first hundred screen tests once they start filming.

and just for the sake of putting my argument into the mix, scarlett is infinitely better looking than megan fox. and that's leaving scarlett's far superior acting talents out of the equation. that's not even an equation.

she could really look the part in the end, i mean she

goood actress...hmmm...frankly, I don't see it. Shes a pretty big joke I think, there hasn't been a stand out performance out of her in any of her films. Someone just say it, Megan Fox and Scarlet are just in the running for these things because they're dead sexy. They're not good acting talent. Kate Beckinsale on the other hand is a pretty reasonable suggestion. We can already see her in a leather outfit from Underworld and shes a pretty decent actress. Well, there's nothing we can do now about it, hopefully when actually dressed the part, Scarlet will look more appropriate for the role...but I'm just trying to get my hopes up...

As long as she can pull off the accent and not over-act the part (as so many actors [good or no] do when they appear in genre films), I don't give a S#%@ who they put in the role.

ok. i like scarlett. i like megan fox more. but i don't like either as the black widow. What happened to Mila Jovavich. I mean, she's russian, she's hot, she looks good with a gun, she's got red hair, and she looks better than both these damn girls. How was this not the most obvious pick?

that is a red carpet picture and i believe the makeup is caked on heavy like that because its suppose to be seen from a distance.

anyway i feel you guys pain because scarlets not the woman you wanted i too was heartbroken when they chose anna paquin as rogue, the rogue i remember was "suthern" and was just amazing to look at in the comics. its water under the bridge now but this woman should have been rogue

joslezio85, Milla is taller than every cast member on the film, except Paltrow. Downey JR. would have to wear 4 inch lifts in order to kiss her face to face.

Scarlett will work just fine. Shes got the perfect size boobs and the hair looks good. Now the russian accent... thats a whole different story.

I dunno but from what i've seen its like a lot of peeps up here label super hot chicks as bad actresses...Jeez...lets see how she does first....i personally think y'all are going to eat your words when she kills this role...i think scarlett is pretty decent as an actress, i'm a little scared about the accent though but other than that i aint worried...

I gotta pitch in my vote! I think she is dead sexy and will be able to pull off this part. She is a great actress and I personally haven't seen anything she's done that she "overacted". Just my two cents. Word.

I think Eliza Dushku should have gotten the role. She can speak Russian and could pull off the character better. Thats just my opinion.
