Over the past couple of months, there have been several reports claiming that Tony Stark will create multiple sentient armors in the Shane Black-directed Iron Man 3. So, has this piece of merchandising promo art revealed some of the new armors that will be featured in the film? Or are these armors just here for the film's toy line? Check out the image below and thanks to Superhero Hype's Vartha for uploading the image.

To give some credibility to the possibility that these armors could very well appear in the film; back in November, our own DCMarvelFreshman reported on some apparent spoilers for Iron Man 3. These spoilers stated the following about the new Hall of Armor: "A transcription of the spoilerific report, via Protocida, reveals that Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) will eventually have an underground Hall of Armors with at least 16 new armors, including a few classic designs from the comics." Read the full article (which is full of more spoilers) by clicking HERE. So, what do you think? Will we see some of these armors in the film? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man? Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce & Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of “Tales of Suspense” (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with “The Invincible Iron Man” (#1) in May of 1968. “Iron Man 3” is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures & DMG Entertainment. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing & Jon Favreau, Louis D’Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Victoria Alonso, Alan Fine, Charles Newirth, Stan Lee & Dan Mintz are executive producers. The film hits May 3, 2013, & is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

It's friggin Tony Stark. Building shit and fast are his super power when you think about it. Why would it take him years to build all his armors if he already has the template for it.

If true, good find. Also, if true, that would mean Mr. Stark has been pretty busy since The Avengers.

Think how quickly the mark II is built in Iron Man 1 - he pops out and Jarvis tells him it'll be coloured and ready to go in like 5 hours. Stark obviously spent a while designing the concept and actual structure/design of the suit but surely after that there are only a few changes to distinguish each new suit from the last. I think whoever said 'it would take 5/7 years' to build these new suits isn't thinking properly, sorry dude
