Jason Momoa Confirms Fan Theory That Aquaman Saved Superman In MAN OF STEEL

Justice League's very own Jason Momoa reveals that before Superman (Henry Cavill) met Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) in Batman v. Superman, he actually first crossed paths with Aquaman!

Ever since the release of Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, a theory quickly emerged that has plagued DC Film fans since 2013. The theory was simple and would hint at the larger DC Universe. Fans believed that when Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) saves the oil rig workers at the beginning of the film and is thrown into the depths of the ocean, he was saved by whales sent to him by none other than the King of Atlantis himself, Aquaman.

Now, thanks to Jason Momoa, we finally have confirmation that this is indeed what happened.

When speaking to DC All Access’ Tiffany Smith about potential Easter eggs that might show up in the upcoming Justice League film, Momoa revealed that during the early conversations with director Zack Snyder about his role as Aquaman, the director had revealed to him that he did indeed save Clark all those years ago.

“I’ll give you a cool little thing that’s not in this movie - what Zack [Snyder] kind of told me for his idea when he was doing - for Aquaman. In Man of Steel, when Henry’s saving - he’s on the oil rig, holding it up and all of a sudden he’s in the ocean and floats in the ocean ‘I had Aquaman save him.’ So they did cross paths at one point.”

It's finally been confirmed: Aquaman and Superman were pals long before Batman came into the picture. What do you think about this Man of Steel easter egg? Let us know in the usual place below!

What a load of crap. Grasping straws at its finest.

Nice that Aquaman saves Superman but let an oil rig explode polluting the ocean of oil

Honestly both this and the kid Peter in IM2 are kinda stupid and don't add much. I bet the actual movies will never actually reference either.
