A different threat takes a different team. When Superman, Wonder Woman and the rest of the Justice League determine that they are ill equipped to deal with a new paranormal threat, Batman declares that John Constantine holds  their only chance at achieving victory. Joining them are Zatanna, Etrigan the Demon, Boston Brand and Swamp Thing.  That's quite the powerful team assembled, one that might even give the real Justice League a run for their money.  Surely they'll be enough to defeat Felix Faust and his dark minions.

Justice League Dark is out on digital January 24, 2017 and blu-ray/DVD on February 7, 2017.


Justice League Dark is directed by Jay Olivia and stars Matt Ryan, Camilla Luddington, Jason O'Mara, JB Blanc, Ray Chase, Enrico Colantoni, Roger R. Cross, Jeremy Davies, Rosario Dawson, Brian T. Delaney, Alfred Molina, Jerry O'Connell, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, Jeffrey Vincent Parise, Laura Post, Fred Tatasciore and Nicholas Turturro. It's rated R for Mature Content.

SYNOPSIS: Batman assembles a League of mystic heroes - the likes of Swamp Thing, the Demon, and Constantine - to help defeat this magical, otherworldly threat.

@grif - I mean, there's been nothing but Batman (and Justice League stuff) lately. I'm tired of that and so are a bunch of other people. There are dozens of heroes who need another due and some who have never had their do. Batman's cool, but WAY overexposed and oversaturated. He's had his time. Now it's time for change...

@Shield23 - I feel the same way. I used to love Batman, but between DC over saturating almost everything they put out along with fan boys demanding he ALWAYS wins has really made me start to hate him.

@scapegoatjones - No, Batman. I'm tired of the guy. It's time we look at some other heroes. ACTUAL superheroes. Not just a grumpy guy beating the snot out of criminals and treating even people who like him like crap just because he never grew up from a childhood trauma. That's already old. Seriously, the world's not gonna break if we take Batman down some notches...

@scapegoatjones - look up the amount of games and other properties batman has been involved with in the past few years. He's made like 20 appearances in four years.

I'm a bat-fan, but that's just ridiculous.

@ALostCause - its true, and I'd like to see some more diversity. But DC has always been built around the trinity, and expecting one of them to not show up is no different that any of the Marvel staples. I used Spidey as an example because he is the most played out of any superhero period. Spider this, Spider that, ultimate Spidey, Spidey Island, Octo Spidey, Venom(s), Carnage, he's been in almost every hero team imaginable. It's just as 'bad', but doesnt collect nearly as much heat.

@Shield23 - what are you gonna do? he's one of the archetypes, with one of the more compelling backstories, best rogues gallery, and he's just some guy. but yea, I'd like some more diversity. thinking one of the trinity members wont be involved is not an unreasonable request. maybe we should just freeze him in adamantium temporarily until Magneto frees him.

It needed to look something like Spawn The Animated Series. And it should not have the JL in it. Something like this needs a creepy feel and it needs to celebrate the dark. It didn't come close.
