According to Comingsoon.net, Mattel is planning on releasing Adam West and Burt Ward inspired Batman & Robin action figures in 2013.

Word broke earlier this year that 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros. had negotiated a deal regarding licensing of the 1960's "Batman" television show. Today, the latest issue of License! Global confirms that the first wave of merchandise will hit in 2013.

"The 1960's Classic Batman TV Series line," the magazine reports, "which will be released next year, is based on the original television series starring Adam West and Burt Ward."

The original television series has not been made available on DVD or Blu-ray, however, according to the website, these action figures may be leading down a road to the series' release.

The magazine also reveals that Mattel will continue the "DC Super Friends" line, introduce a new line for 2014 based on the upcoming "Beware the Batman," "refresh" DC's adult collector line and continue their "evergreen" Batman figures in a line called "Power Attack." Naturally, next summer's Man of Steel will also receive a tie-in toy line.
