I don't get the hate on the movie version of the power battery, why would an alien organisation like the GL Corps make their power source look like an earth lantern if they have so much disrespect for humanity before Hal Jordan proves his worth? I mean it works as a drawing in s comic, but in a movie you don't just want a lantern with green paint on it, it should look alien.
Having said that, I'm starting to doubt this movie, since they seem to be doing all their advertising via merchandise. Visually, it looks great, but they seem to be withholding any more actual footage, and after the criticism the first trailer got from the hardcore fans... I dunno, I think I'll like it anyway. Not sure about the hardcore fans tho...

I'd get one of these if I had a disposable income, but $200+ seems a little steep.

Already got one on order from BBTS to go with my three other Lanterns. @Stubbyswof @marvel72, I wish I had as much free time as you to post on items I don't even have interest in. I guess you'll have no problem forking out close to $400 each for the hammer and shield. Also, as a hard core fan, I have no doubts that I will love this movie. True, it is a difficult movie to adapt, but so are Thor and Cap, and GL doesn't have an unproven lead actor like Thor. Regardless, I'm gonna see all of them multiple times with GL leading the way. I'm already used to the haters, so bring it on, it's gonna make the success that much sweeter!

marvel72 - Agreed, I want a metal replica of the movie Mjolnir! Now THAT would be all kinds of AWESOME!

haljordan2814 - It's not that I hate the GL movie (though I WOULD have prefered to see Nathan Fillion in the role), I just prefer the 'classic' lantern, that's all (What can I say? I'm 'old school'... LMAO!). I for one hope the film does well, not only for the sake of GL but to prove to DC/WB that movies that don't invovle the Bat or the Big Blue Schoolboy CAN be made! DC/WB - EXPAND YOUR MOVIE UNIVERSE!!!!!

@ haljordan2814

i like that green lantern,i just don't like the power battery & if i could afford $800 for the hammer & shield i would buy them over this.

mjolnir is a thousand times better than a power battery.

For some reason I initially thought the power battery was just some metal thing with a bunch of glowing runes or something on it but the close up of this makes me realize its some kind of space rock carved into a lantern. That's pretty cool.

VERY COOL. The fact it comes with a light-up Lantern ring that activates it makes it ALMOST worth 300 smackers.

@loganoneil, I agree on the comic's version looking way better. That's been one of the things I've always wondered, how they would make the alien lantern look believable. I think they did as well as they could on the design. I'm with you, I hope this is the beginning of a major DC CBM run with some of their other awesome characters. I was also just thinking, Green Arrow could really make a sweet movie, and it wouldn't be that hard to pull off either. (only the rich playboy thing's kind of been done twice so far with Iron Man and Batman)
