DC vs. Marvel

Ever wonder who would win in a one-on-one battle between DC and Marvel characters? Well here's my opinion...

Lobo Vs. Wolverine
Now I know they already did this in the 1996 crossover of DC Vs. Marvel but it was put to a fan vote. I think that it was just a popularity contest because in the storyline Wolverine won but in my opinion I believe Lobo would sweep the floor with him.
Lobo:
Ok Lobo is a badass who can regenerate at least 10 times faster than good ol' Logan. He has been known to be able to regenerate a complete copy of himself from a drop of his blood. And he's so violent and just crazy that he has been banned from entering heaven or hell. He can also survive in space unprotected he has gone toe to toe with superman and won, oh and i forgot to mention he killed his entire race for his highschool science project and then gave himself an A lol.


Wolverine:
Now dont get me wrong Logan's a crazy s.o.b. he can regenerate his health way to fast for a regular attack to kill him. His adamantium skeleton makes it pretty much impossible to do any kind of limb damage or bone breaking attacks against him, he has won his fair share of fights. But dont forget he has been beaten down numerous times by numerous enemies(Sabertooth,Daken,Cyber etc.) hell Sabertooth alone is a big problem for Wolverine. And I'm sorry but when you get tracked down and then beat down to within an inch of death every year on your birthday by a villian that most people think is not even close to as strong as you. Than you're not gonna be winning to many battles with a guy that can track you down across the galaxy.


Well there is my opinion on the matter I'll probably do more of these later on I just wanted to do this one cause it's been on my mind lately.

Id like to see a few more of these - im kinda disappointed theres only one, lol! overall though Marvel's heroes could defintely beat DC's!

I dont know anything about Lobo but i guess if he can regenerate from just a drop of blood then no one can beat him unless they completely vaporise him (which a few of Marvel heroes teamed up could probably do!)

Lobo would give Supes and Martian Manhunter a run for their money. Of course he'd beat Wolverine. NO CONTEST! Now pit Green Arrow againt Hawkeye. We all know who I'm pullin' for.

DC beats Marvel IMO. Better heroes, better villains.

Superman would defeat just about the whole Avengers team by himself. And not even Wolverine is as cool as Batman. No one in the Marvel universe is as cool as Batman.

I'm a dc, but as far as a dc vs. marvel. Marvel wins.

@InTylerWeTrust82 I am of the opinion that Thor or Hulk could put Superman in his place.

Also. Lobo beats Wolverine.

It'd be a great contest. I wish they'd do a marvel vs dc series again. =(

While they would give Superman a definate run for his money, I don't think they would actually defeat him. But they have a shot, like I said, Superman could take down almost the whole Avengers team, but there are some that he would struggle against and possibly lose to.

I will admit that Marvel has tons more super powered characters than DC, the only non superpowered one I can think of is Hawkeye, I think that the super powered DC characters would defeat Marvel. Darkseid, Superman, Steel, Supergirl, DOOMSDAY (!), Martian Manhunter, ALL THE FREAKING GREEN LANTERNS, Dr. Manhattan (techinically he IS a DC character), Amazo, Brainiac, Captain Marvel/Black Adam, Parallax, Bizarro, Wonder Woman, Legion of Superheroes, Zod, among others.

It's all circumstantial. DC people say DC kicks Marvels ass and Marvel people say Marvel kicks DC ass. Strange Cosmic says he's a DC, but if he says that Marvel would win, he's Marvel deep inside. I would love to see another crossover, but with fights we'd actually want to see. Cap vs Batman? Bullshit. Let's see Batman take on Ironman, or Cap take on somebody not Batman. Supes vs Thor? More crap. Let's see THor take on Wonder Woman, and Supes take on Hulk. Everyone wants to see Supes and Hulk. Then I don't think Marvel and DC should cop out and make it a team-up book. That's complete crap. If it says VS in the title, it would be versus, not we'll fight a little bit and then team up. Grrr. Oh and InTylerWeTrust, Amazo is a pussy. I'd rather see Starro or Mongul. I believe there will always be the back and forth question of "Which multibillion dollar company has better superheroes?" I believe it's the one that stops hiking the effing prices on the books.
Sabretooth Tiger is a douche for bringing this crap up and pitting us against each other. I think we should get him!!

it's not nesessarily all perspective. Marvel's universe was based from humanity and how certain individuals can overcome. DC's universe is based on gods (superman, wonder woman, green lanter, and even batman who imho would beat not only wolverine, but juggernaut.) that's the difference between the two companies. marvel is more rooted, while dc is more "marvelous" for lack of a better term.

Marvel woukld kick DC's ass IMO, i mean yes they got Supes but how many of Marvel's Heros and Villians are smart enough to get some kryptonite then bye bye Superman is done lol soooo anyone want to argue that?

Marcel will KICK the CRAP out of DC superman could be taken out by thor,hulk,doctor strange(if he wanted to),prof. X(when he had his powers),the beyonder,and the inbetweener but batman would beat juggernaut but not wolverine dont get me wrong id love to see wolverine get beat senseless by the dark knight but you guys forget that wolverine has faced off and won alot of battle poinsoned or worse against lady deathstrike, this one cyborg a**hole who copied and modified his powers then blinded him (he also had no sent to track) and still lost.

Well, I am a much bigger fan of DC than I am Marvel, so I guess that could be somewhat clouding m judgement. In a full out brawl, Marvel would probably win since they have so many nearly immortal characters (a fact which contributes to my preference of DC). But, I say that DC wins in characters. I think the DC characters are better than Marvel characters hands down. Batman, Superman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter (I know this mirrors my previous post BTW), Doomsday, THE JOKER, etc. are all far more interesting to me than Marvel characters. But, to each their own. And don't get me wrong, Marvel is great, I just reall prefer DC.

I'm more of a Marvel than a DC fan, but Avengers-JLA 2003 crossover observed that Marvel heroes "seem less powerful in general" than DC.

Hey tobuttica I didn't pitt you against anyone its your choice if you wanna argue about somethin I was just stating my opinion you know the thing we call the first amendment here in the u.s.
And heavenly dark wolverine can beat a bunch of ninjas well lobo beat superman w/o kryptonite as well...if you look in that pic of him you'll notice he has batmans cowl in his hand and wonderwomans rope around the sword which is implanted into supermans cape with him bein a villian I doubt he could've just borrowed those so yeah checkmate on wolvie

I,m not very updated on DC and I am a Marvel fan but after reading this hands down Lobo could take down Wolverine. Forgive me if i,m wrong here like I said i,m not a big DC fan But is Batman not just a man with toys, extraordinary fighting skills and inteligence.
I don,t think he could beat Juggernaut but is likely smart enough to have Juggernaut beat himself. And I really can't see Batman taking down IronMan who has in my opinion superior weapons, and his fighting skills and intelligence rival that of Batmans.

@LEEE777 DC isnt winning any of those (except animated movies) Marvel has got a lot more moviea out rite now, yes some of them might not have stuck to source but i mean the only DC characters that have movies are Superman and Batman and they have had to redo them so many times over the years.
Yes The Dark Knight and Watchmen were great movies but thats it those our the only two good movies. Marvel has lots and i really dont want to name them lol

IN MOVIES!!! (TDK may have been great but when you look at Iron Man, Spider-Man Trilogy and Incredible Hulk then Marvels various offerings beat off DC's only decent one movie!)

IN TELEVISION SHOWS!!! (NO Marvel TV shows are better than Smallville!)

IN ANIMATED MOVIES!!! (Ok, this one i admit DC seem to be doing better than Marvel but i dont care about animated stuff anyway, lol!)

Oh and Marvl beat DC in VIDEO GAMES!!!

Anyone with a bit of Kryptonite could beat Superman! And Galactus could just destroy the DC Earth, lol! Hulk and Sentry could take out most of the DC characters on their own then characters like Thor and Iron Man could finish off the rest!

Just look at Superman Returns - a normal human (Lex) stabbed Superman with Kryptonite and he ended up in a hospital bed, lol! Give the Hulk Kryptonite laced boxing gloves and he'll be down for the count!

PieFace: Stark Industries could take down Wayne Enterprises and considering Stark has been trained in hand to hand combat by Captain America he could take down Bruce without the Iron Man suit!

As for Cap vs Batman - Cap is super powered so could take down Batman with one punch and Bucky Cap would probably just shoot Batman in the head, lol!

Supes can be taken down by any powerful telepath or anyone who can manipulate radiation and energy frequency. Emma Frost could simply turn him on his peers while Silver Surfer... lol... Silver Surfer would crush him in ways Supes could never imagine, Supes would be pleading for life against the Silver Surfer. Batman is a badass who, given prepartion(key words), can defeat pretty much anyone, but without that opportunity to first investigate and prepare, Bats is much less potent, not helpless, but certainly not at full potential. So argueing whether or not he wins all depends on his opponents potency vs. Bats preparation time. Storm brought WW down, I agree with it, nuff said.

You know, Teabag has a good point. lets just take them individually and toss them in cages right now. DC would take the ass stomping of a lifetime. They lose on the single issue that the characters have crappy names seemingly conceived by 10 year olds.

you are right, but the thing is this: If they were gonna fight for real (Marvel vs DC) and NOT BASED ON A POLL, the Villains would find a way to ambush the heroes or fight those who THEY KNOW they can defeat . kind of ACTS OF VENGEANCE, when the villains exchanged heroes to fight.

you guys are forgetting that superman is not the most powerfull dc character. what about the wizard shazam, darksied, the entire green lantern corp, doomsday, high father, the anti-monitor, ect. dc has way too many god characters that would wipe the floor with marvel.

It's crazy how many of you have little-to-no knowledge of Amalgam. Marvel kicked so much ass, the only noteworthy win for DC in that whole ordeal was Supes vs. Hulk. Bats got stomped by Cap, WW was brought down by Storm, Wolverine fed Lobo his own feet, Gambit punks Nightwing AND steals the Batmobile(how pimp is that), Thor whipped Captain Marvel, Silver Surfer pummeled Green Lantern, Spidey spanked Superboy, Thanos shamed Darkseid... should I go on?

KEROSENE, you obviously don't read Marvel at all. Galactus, Thanos, Living Tribunal, Nova Corps, Odin the Allfather, the Externals, Apocalypse, etc... oh, lets not forget the end-all-be-all, the Pheonix. That one entity alone would consume DC and reform it from the ashes.

I recently came across a DC universe encyclopedia. They have so many sh*t characters it boggles the mind! Ok, they have a handful that can be classed as the best or most powerful of their genre but the rest is pitiful! Marvel would win just for sheer number of characters with decent powers.
