TDA formed over a year ago and when we started we were all gung ho about getting rid of trolls. However all we did was add fire to the flame war. We created more trolls who then multiplied and gave birth to little tiny trolls. Evil begets Evil fighting it only makes it stronger. Personally I have never reported anyone. I am a believer of freedom of speech and with that belief comes the burden of tolerating some ugly spoken word. As an observer of what has happened in our little venture over the past year I have come to a few conclusions:

1. you won't rid the site of trolls
2. you may get banned in the process of trying
3. your list makes it easier for the editors to find and remove you
4. you may become a troll trolling a troll
5. you won't rid the site of trolls

Is it really that hard to turn the other cheek and live and let live? And that's bagadoosh's two cents.

I have a ten year old cousin that came on here one time and because he didn't know a particular obscure fact about the avengers he was berated and he has never attempted to come back and share his opinion. I am a grown man and I believe in what you guys are doing because it is not fair to treat people like shit because they have a differing opinion or are not as well versed in comic book lore so yes call me immature if you will but I am still in if @nova and these other guys want to quit, fine , I will carry on solo.

Also, what the hell is TDA? I heard bits and pieces but not the full story.

And sure this may not be the best idea, but we'll see where this takes us.

drop your rule list about trolls and we will do all we can do DEFEND THOSE USERS WHO ARE TAKING A TON OF SHIT FROM TROLLS FOR HAVING AN OPINION WE WILL NOT BE HATEFUL OR SELF RIGHTEOUS OUR WEAPON WILL BE FACTS AND LOGIC THOUGH OUR COURSE WILL SEEM CONFUSING WE WILL NOT FALTER IN OUR COMMITMENT TO THE FREE OPINIONS OF ALL WHO SEEK TO ENJOY AND ENGAGE IN A THOUGHTFUL DEBATE. follow that and all will be well and all manner of things will be well.

My niece is 9 and she is not allowed on the internet without close supervision by her mother for her own protection . While I am sad to hear when young kids feelings are hurt my feeling is that The internet is an adult place for the most part and this site in particular is very harsh at times . It takes time to learn who to not deal with on this site and feelings will get hurt along the way . I suggest the folks who can't handle harsh words swim back to the shallow end . If you don't have thick skin this place is not for you , just read your news and skip the comments section .

Bags, yeah that's one reason why I didn't get an account until over 2 years after I started visiting. I saw how some people could act and I wanted to know who to avoid before I came on.

Something else to think about is a scenario where everyone gangs up on a "troll" but whomever is the victim of this gangland beating may not deserve it . MOB RULES mentality . Sometimes the solution is worse than the problem .

keep in mind also that strength does not come in numbers in fact the more people you have the better the odds a troll lives among you , my advice keep it small and trust one another . Good luck

Oh boy. Interesting. I have only gotten into a nasty argument four times, with four different people. I still remember who they are. That being said, I'm not very aggressive towards peoples opinions, and I try to avoid the trolls and flame wars usually. I'm more an "Annoying Wanker" if I deserve a bad title for anything. So am I on the good list, or the Naughty one? Not naughty like Gusto, the other kind of naughty.

I am mean to Trav though. He just drives me nuts! He's the only one that can do it. Even Jacky has intelligence behind our arguments. Hes fun to fight with. I think he finds it fun too. Trav........he's just a kid. That got ahold of his dads keyboard.
