All You Need is Kill, an adaptation of the manga comic by Hiroshi Sakurazaka which the studio reportedly acquired the rights to for a seven figure sum last spring. Director Doug Liman's
Luna has been dropped by Paramount Pictures after co-financier Skydance decided to pull out of the project (rumored to be $100+ million) explaining why this adaptation is now moving ahead.
According to the site, there have been some issues with the tone of the movies final act, although they reveal that a new draft has resolved the problem. While Pitt may still pass on the project to work with David O. Russell on
