Oscar nominee Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt star in Warner Bros. Pictures' and Village Roadshow Pictures' sci-fi thriller "Edge of Tomorrow," under the direction of Doug Liman. The epic action of "Edge of Tomorrow" unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world.

Major William Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again…and again. But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.

Edge of Tomorrow features:
Director: Doug Liman
Tom Cruise as Lt. Col. William "Bill" Cage
Emily Blunt as Rita Vrataski
Bill Paxton as General Farrell Bartolome
Jeremy Piven as Col. Walter Marx
Brendan Gleeson as General Brigham
Lara Pulver as Karen Lord
Marianne Jean-Baptiste as Dr. Whittle
Jonas Armstrong as Skinner
Kick Gurry as Griff
Kidus Henok as Lewis
Tony Way as Kimmel
Madeleine Mantock as Julie
Dragomir Mrsic as Kuntz
Charlotte Riley as Nance
Franz Drameh as Ford

Edge of Tomorrow hits theaters June 6, 2014.

This movie looks like it may be pretty cool. Not a big Cruise fan but the story sounds really interesting.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this over the weekend. There are a lot of movies with Tom Cruise in them that I love. I'm sure this will be added to the list.

It's an averagely good movie but not quite as good as the rave reviews are making it sound. It gets quite predictable towards the end. Best aspect is the humour. It messes with your expectations of what Cruise's character has or hasn't been through and it's pretty funny. Check out this more balanced review:

Great movie with a great combo of action and humor. The Tom Cruise scene that involves an Army truck is funny as hell.Wouldn't call this the best movie this summer (DOFP still holds that honor for me) but its unexpectedly better then I thought it would be and a hidden gem you should discover for yourself.

Not the best poster but the movie was great. Never judge a book by its cover and all. Everyone who hasn't seen this yet needs to check it out this weekend.

@Campblood

The skull armor is just a cameo character who makes no important movie moments. They just used it for the poster to garner to a younger crowd I guess.

Don't know why they didn't display the humor at all in the trailer. I mean it's not slapstick by any means, but its got a fair amount of tongue in cheek. I'm not a huge humor guy, but I thought it played well into the movie. Got a much different vibe from the film than the trailers displayed, I enjoyed it, felt the ending was a little flat and pulled a bit of "oblivion" on us. But all in all a good summer flick and Cruise was surprising pretty good as was blunt.

Think Groundhog Day meets Aliens meets the D-day sequence from Saving Private Ryan if you want to recommend this film to an average moviegoer that does not have various online accounts.

Another reviewer got it right on the head with this one about why the film works: execution. It's something the compartmentalized "money groups" have forgotten, simple filmmaking execution.

The paperboy from Spaced is hilarious in this! ;-D He's literally balls out!
