Dreamworks Animation and Netflix have released the official trailer for the fifth season of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, offering a thrilling new look at the twelve-episode final season of the acclaimed animated series.

The official synopsis teases where the new season will pick up, and it sounds like our favorite campers will have their work cut out for them when the notorious Mantah Corp sets their sights on the remaining dinosaurs on the island.

"The arrival of Kenji’s father, Mr. Kon, renews hope of a rescue for the campers. But as the nefarious plans of Mantah Corp. come into focus and one of the Camp Fam turns on their own, the others must band together if they want to save the dinosaurs and ever make it home."

Executive Producer Scott Kreamer shared his own sentiment, teasing their most epic season yet, “At this final chapter in the story, our campers are at a crossroads. On the one hand, they have never been closer to getting home, but on the other, they have never been in more danger of never seeing their families again. There is no clear path forward. They must simultaneously battle to survive the dinosaurs, as well as those that threaten these same creatures' existence.”

While the new season takes place prior to the events of this summer's Jurassic World: Dominion, it looks like there will be at least one small connection to the blockbuster movie, as we see Mantah Corp attempting to control dinosaurs with special devices, which is almost exactly what Biosyn was doing in Dominion. We could also be getting a prototype to what Soyona Santos (Dichen Lachman) used to command the Atrociraptors in that show-stopping Malta chase.

Whether we'll get more tie-ins remains to be seen, especially considering the show's setting, but don't be shocked if we get a few big surprises before the campers go home.

The main voice cast features Paul-Mikél Williams (Westworld) as Darius Bowman, Jenna Ortega (Scream) as Brooklynn, Ryan Potter (Titans) as Kenji Kon, Raini Rodriguez (Austin & Ally) as Sammy Gutierrez, Sean Giambrone (The Goldbergs) as Ben Pincus, and Kausar Mohammed (Silicon Valley) as Yasmina Fadoula.

Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Cruella, The Good Place), Academy Award-nominee Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense; A.I. Artificial Intelligence), Glen Powell (Top Gun: MaverickHidden Figures), and Jameela Jamil (The Good PlaceShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law) will all also return in recurring roles, reprising their respective parts from prior seasons.

Andrew Kishino will voice this season's presumed big bad Daniel Kon, the father of Kenji and the President of Mantah Corp.

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous season five premieres July 21.

Just started watching this after it was recommended to me by a friend and it's surprisingly good. Some of the Gen-Z nonsense is cringe af, but otherwise it's solid so far.

This show isn't bad, unlike Dominion.. I swear some people must have a third grade comprehension level if they think it was anything other than ass juice

Ridiculous how they don't stop the dinosaurs by shoving an open hand in their snouts!
Dominion clearly establishes that dinosaurs accept that "no" means "no"!

First three seasons were actually surprisingly pretty well written and a good kids show. Unfortunately last season jumped the shark for me and was a major drop in quality. Hopefully they can end on a high note.
