Sci-fi fans have been anxiously awaiting a first (proper) look at Moon director Duncan Jones' Mute, and the full trailer has just debuted along with a new poster.

Set in futuristic Berlin, Mute follows a bartender (Alexander Skarsgård) who teams up with a pair of surgeons (Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux) to track down his missing girlfriend. The film is the second part of Jones' trilogy which kicked-off with Moon, and is apparently set in the same universe.

The trailer gives us some idea of what to expect from the plot, but still maintains an air of mystery. Based on the footage, it's safe to say our eyeballs are in for a good time at the very least.

Berlin, the future, but close enough to feel familiar: In this loud, often brutal city, Leo (Alexander Skarsgård) – unable to speak from a childhood accident – searches for his missing girlfriend, the love of his life, his salvation, through dark streets, frenzied plazas, and the full spectrum of the cities shadow-dwellers. As he seeks answers, Leo finds himself mixed up with Cactus Bill (Paul Rudd) and Duck (Justin Theroux), a pair of irreverent US army surgeons on a mission all their own. This soulful sci-fi journey from filmmaker Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code, Warcraft) imagines a world of strange currencies in which echoes of love and humanity are still worth listening to.

Mute is set to premier eon Netflix on February 23.

@Nasseal82isback - I recently revisited Warcraft. There's some great stuff in there. It's just the human characters were all miscast and delivered poor performances. The Orc stuff is solid and emotionally gripping.

@PsychoticSpaceRaccoon - I have to agree on that. The Orc stuff was very good, and as a Horde guy i felt invested in Durotan's story. They should have focused the first story completely on the Horde, the sequel on the alliance and if there would have been a third movie the start of the war and rivalry.

It'll be on Netflix. I'll definitely check it out.

Looks way better than Bright, which was a stitch under mediocre.

@PsychoticSpaceRaccoon - The day I knew Bright was going to be shit was the day I read the following sentence:

"Netflix has landed the rights to Max Landis spec "Bright" with Will Smith and Joel Edgerton set to star and David Ayer on board to direct"

@Philip - But it wasn't...

@TRexx21 - Oh it is. In so many ways.

It's lazy, un-original and super predictable, among other things.

@Philip - To you...it was so lazy, un-original and super predictable that we're getting a sequel. Good Job for a bad movie.

@TRexx21 - Sharknado has had 4 sequels. Fifty Shades of Grey has had two. The Purge has had three. Your point is invalid.

Anything can get a sequel as long as there's a market for it.

Direction was bad, writing was even worse. Story might have had potential at some point, but the final product was weak.

@Philip - Again....to you. However clearly SOMEONE thinks its good or it wouldn't be a market for a sequel. So YOUR point is invalid bro

@TRexx21 - Or, you know, there's enough people that would watch something of that quality if it's included in a service they've already paid for. Does not mean it's good, "bro"
