POWER RANGERS Set To Team Up With The TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES In A New Comic Miniseries

After teaming up with the Justice League in 2017, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are all set for another epic crossover event as they find themselves aligned with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

BOOM! Studios, under license by Hasbro, Inc. and in partnership with IDW and Nickelodeon, have announced today that the legendary Mighty Morphin Power Rangers will soon be crossing over with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in an all-new five-issue limited series crossover event, with the first issue debuting in December 2019.

The miniseries will be written by Ryan Parrot (Power Rangers: Necessary Evil) and illustrated by Simone di Meo (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers).

The synopsis reads, "The Power Rangers arrive in New York City to find Tommy Oliver – AKA The Mighty Morphin Green Ranger – but soon discover he’s joined forces with the villainous Shredder and the Foot Clan! As the Rangers are sent reeling by this betrayal, they’re confronted by another (fr)enemy – the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Can these heroes find a way to work together to defeat the bad guys and save the world from total destruction?!"

While the Heroes in a Half-Shell did previously appear in an episode of Power Rangers in Space back in 1998, this will be their first meeting with the iconic Mighty Morphin team, which should be plenty exciting for all involved.

In addition to the announcement, BOOM! has also shared Dan Mora's (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) cover for MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS/TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES #1 (OF 5). The first issue will also feature Turtle Ranger Helmet variant covers by Goñi Montes (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) and a few surprises.

Now that could be cool, the In Space/Next Mutation crossover was crap, so we may have a good crossover. Wonder if Shredder will team up with Zedd

@dracula - I feel like he may be able to convince Tommy that him and the Foot Clan are the good guys, trying to defend New York from the "monstrous" Ninja Turtles. Given the Ranger's history with monsters, it's an easy story to sell, especially if Shredder shows off his scar and spins some tale about barely escaping with his life

Gotta love how the leader of the team the red ranger is in the back behind Tommy. Pathetic, must be Rocky

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - I binged that whole season 2 years ago for reasons I still dont understand lol. I think Phycho Ranger episodes were introduced on VHS copy I had for 3 episode arc and must have assumed they'd be the big bad the whole season.

@MrCamw1 - Lol I might have to binge it too just for the Turtles episode. I must have missed it when I was a kid because it would have changed my world.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - I'd never fully seen PR space besides the pcho ranger stuff. I think the whole seasons on Netflix. Episode 4: Shell Shocked. I warn you though it's very goofy and does not.match the tone of the whole season. Theres a plot in there somewhere lol

Boom!'s Rangers have been pretty good, though Grid got a little messy near the end. Would feel a little more confident if it were the IDW side doing the work, as their Turtles have been consistently phenomenal, which is more noteworthy when you consider it's inching towards it's hundredth issue.

Why not make this craziness into a movie instead of that Power Rangers reboot everyone's been talking about the last few days?

This franchise would be better combined with the Pacific Rim franchise.
