I don't know about you guys but since BOOM! Studios reenvisioning of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers back in 2016, I have been hooked on the series and it has brought back my love for the franchise. As the Shattered Grid crossover event draws to a close in August, BOOM! have released the incredible covers, including a surprise appearance from the Red Beast Morpher Ranger. Check out the variant cover for yourself!

How the upcoming Red Ranger fits into the story, we don't know yet. Another thing to point out is the lack of other Rangers other than Reds.

@L0RDbuckethead - did you know!? That JDR (Tommy) was originally going to play Jason the Red Ranger and was supposed to be Native American.

@CaptainAmerica - Really? I didn't know that, weird change. Full disclosure, I'm not a big MMPR fan, I've seen the original American show from the 90s (with the Japanese fight scenes) and then the movie with Ivan Ooze. Other than that, I'm pretty green on them other than the new Dean Isrealite film.

But I do like Jason David Frank and have seen some of his MMA fights.

@L0RDbuckethead - yup, not sure how tone deaf they were but it almost happened. It’s hard to watch now has a lot of cool scenes and episodes. Not sure if you know atop the fourth wall but he has a great series on the power rangers franchise.

Oh cool, Drakkon's getting a cape. I guess he gets one of the Mystic Force morphers to add to his power.
