Alice Eve On Being Cast In STAR TREK Sequel; Hopes To Satisfy The "Fanatics"

The smoking hot actress chats to MTV about being cast in J.J Abrams' upcoming Sci-fi sequel and working once again with Benedict Cumberbatch, without revealing too many details about the role she will play..obviously!

Alice Eve is one of quite a few British actors to sign up to join the cast of J.J Abrams' Star Trek sequel. Another is Benedict Cumberbatch, who Eve worked with in the 2006 movie Starter For 10. In an interview with MTV she talks about working with him again on a very different type of movie..

"I'm very excited to work with him again. He's so very funny, Ben. I don't know if you remember his character in 'Starter for 10,' but he was so funny. Like King of the Geeks, but he did it so well, and I found a lot of that hard to get through because he was so funny. I like him very much."

You get the impression she thinks he's funny? Anyway, nothing is really known about the role Eve - who was in the running to play Emma Frost in X-Men: First Class - will play in the Star Trek sequel, and she certainly isn't dropping any hints. But she does talk about the feeling of joining such a tight knit cast, and seems determined not to let any fans down..

When there's a group of people who you can spend time with and work with and get to know, a real good experience, it's kind of like going back to university or something, when everyone has got the same objective. There's a lot of energy, and it's a nice thing to be a part of that group. That's the thing that excites me most about it. Obviously, there is a huge legacy there with 'Star Trek' and the fanatics, so hopefully they'll be satisfied."

"I feel incredibly lucky. I would say it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It's not once-in-a-lifetime, but it is rare. It's one of life's great pleasures to enjoy the group you work with, because we all know what it's like when you don't."

Hopefully some actual details about who all of these newcomers are playing will filter through soon. Alice Eve can be seen next in The Raven, followed by Men In Black 3.

WHY DID YOU DROP OUT OF FIRST CLASS?!?!?!
She would have been a MUCH better Emma Frost!

@tweeeeenkies3 - Samer here, man. She would've own that role. Hopefully, Marvel Studios will have another role for her in future movies to come. *Crossing fingers* Enchantress, please!

I apologize to all the guys here for interrupting lol (girl thinking process here)... but can she act? I've yet to see her on something I care to watch, she's never got passed the casting couch from what I've seen. Alright I'm prepared to be ignored now :D

Actually yes she is decent..well in anything I have seen her in, which is, umm, two movies! The one that stands out is a comedy thriller with Simon Pegg and David Scwhimmer..can't think of the name

Dunno why, but that statement irks me, lol. I think it's just the word fanatics...makes me think INSANE...like DeNiro in The Fan.

Whatever, it's late and i suppose i'm being picky...what do I know, I think she's got a huge forehead and ginormous teeth, and for some reason everyone else thinks she's gorgeous. ::shrugs::

Yep - she certainly is a hottie - and I loved her in Starter for 10 just cos the whole 80's vibe going on.

Really good cast in it too. Also had James McAvoy (Prof. X) and Dominic Cooper (Howard Stark) as well Mark Gattis (writer for Dr. Who and Sherlock, League Of Gentlemen) and Rebbecca Hall who is just brilliant in everything she has ever been in.

I dont even care who she is playing, im glad shes in the movie, lol.

Its true, she would have been an awesome Emma Frost!!! (I still like January Jones) Cross your fingers maybe she will play Carol Denvars in the future!!! She can make a great Enchantress too.

@loki668 do you always say Lord Loki has spoken at the end of your comments?

It's something that was once said about me after I had made a good point (it happens occasionally). I thought it had a nice ring to it so, in honor of the one who said it in reference to me, I adopted it as my signature. And, so, to continue the trend,

Lord Loki has spoken

@tweeeeenkies3- She was going to play Emma? Wow, what an improvement that would have been.

She's wife worthy IMO.
